Yep...it did make me feel close to him Laines.....I saw him as a young man of 21 and I am so, so, proud of him and all that he achieved in helping others. <3 <3

caramelized onion quiche

Ulster Fry-up

The Continental – choice of assorted chilled fruit juices, hot oatmeal or assorted cold cereals, toast or fresh-baked muffin

Cheese Omelette garnished with Hollandaise sauce, and served with chef’s hash browns and toast

Boiled eggs and toast

Scrambled eggs, bacon, baked beans, and toast

Huevas Rancheros


Thai-style noodles and shrimp,

stirfry (chicken, beef, or vegetarian),

Jamaican beef patties

Country Wrap (Black Forest Ham, Fresh Scallions and Cheddar Cheese),

oh has his cataract op at 9 am, so I won't be around until later.

Have enjoyed reading my dad's diaries so much, I think I am going to copy them out so that they don't have to be 'over-handled'. I feel they contain so much detail that our future family generations may well be interested. :-)

HI Joy.....


Gins. They are intermittent - sort of 1934-38 then c1942 - then into the 60's and 70's. Sadly, they aren't a complete set but, given the war scenario, some may have been lost and then, during the latter part of his life, he was caring for my mum who had MS. He died in 1976.

There are all the names of the people he visited and any services he conducted. Bet the descendants would be quite interested. :-D
