Good morning all :-D

Maybe I should say Wet morning all :-(

Our reservoirs must be full to the point of bursting!

Sorry to hear about your son Gins....let us know how he is when you get time.

And now to breakfast - thank you Sylvs - just a light one this morning please. We are expecting a visit from OH's brother and wife as they pass by on their way home from a weekend away. Hopefully, we will be able to go out to lunch as we did last week........

I was woken by a bright light this morning at about 6am and wondered if someone had set out security light off. Nope...I had forgotten that, on dark mornings, someone who lives across the field from us has a security light on their stables and they feed their horses at 6am... :-S

Hope he is not too badly hurt !! <3 <3 <3

Thanks for the lovely breakfast Sylvs <3

Cynths - you will need to invest in some of those 'black-out' blinds !!! ;-)

Im still here as I rang my students and postponed to a 10am start.

He has left hospital and is on his way home with his girlfriend. Hes had stitches and glue and seems to be OK, albeit shook up.....as you would :-(

I wish I could get my buddy hands on the little b#st#rds that did it :-| :-| :-|

Thank you for caring everyone <3

Glad he is O.K. Ginns, though I fear the 'shock' will probably hit him later!

Hope he is fully recovered VERY soon.

Dea Xxx <3 <3 <3

P.S. - You take care today as the shock will no doubt creep up on you too !

Oh Gins that is awful.

He has my sympathy/empathy

It seems no-one nowhere is safe these days.

Hugs.

Gee

Gee Report 15 Oct 2012 17:43

He's OK, just a badly cut head and a swollen bruised face.

Two guys jumped him as he separated from his work colleagues, punched him to the floor and kicked him.......on and on

Luckily, his two mates heard the commotion and ran back to help, upon which the thugs ran

It’s not where I thought it was, it’s in an area of the city where, stabbings and mugging happen all the time, the bottom London Rd, scrubbers ville

He’s not going there again

Chris, I hope its not brought back too many memories, thank you for your empathy <3

OH's vision is now almost clear

and he's gone off downtown to pick up his visa for China

He's taking another day at home ......... he's not quite ready to get behind the wheel (especially in the heavy rains that we've been having).

But he does have to go in tomorrow ........ he has to give a seminar at noon at the university, and then has a workshop at the hospital at 4:30!

He can do it all by bus, if he still doesn't feel ready.

Sheffield is very strange in terms of 'scubber' and 'safe'

No2 lives a walk away from 'safe' to 'scrubber' The takeaways are in the latter (that late or early) and he was hungry after work

Dea

Dea Report 15 Oct 2012 19:38

Tell him to take sandwiches with him next time Ginns !!! ;-) <3

Dea Xxx

Gee

Gee Report 15 Oct 2012 19:50

He wont go there again Dea.....lesson learned, me thinks

He's been used to growing up in a very safe area, so one mistake is allowed

Oh how we worry about our kids :-(

Dea

Dea Report 15 Oct 2012 19:56

Only the one - tell him !!!!!!!!!

Yes - we DO worry about them don't we ?? ;-)

We always will !

AND - It's only when they grow up and have children of their own that they start to understand why !!!
