Good morning Sylvs. Thank you for breakfast - I'll have toasted barm cakes with Marmite I think :-D
Looks as though Gins has drifted off again.....no doubt she will drift back at some stage ;-)
Grey clouds, bright sky, pouring rain and the sound of thunder! Lovely!
Not sure what I am up to today - son hasn't confirmed as to whether or not I need to pick the grandchildren up!! Good job I'm versatile.....flexible and otherwise not that busy today! :-S
|
|
Hope you get your gas sorted sooner rather than later Linds.
I hate it when I can smell gas and have recently bought one of those detector thingies.
It's a shame that you have to cut into the new surface though. Is it worth a second opinion?
|
|
Good morning everyone :-)
'Good afternoon' Ginns ;-) :-D
Thanks for breakfast Sylvs <3 - Bacon, sausages, mushrooms and tomatoes for me please with lots of toast!
Thank you <3
Hope you get the gas sorted Linds - it's a good job OH noticed.
See you all later,

Morning~~~~~~
I went back to bed when I had stopped coughing!
Eggy bread please <3

Gosh, I have made myself really miserable today !!!
I was almost in tears in the Post Office !
Sent off my application for a blue badge online the other day and I now have to send off certain documents and a photo so today I went to the post office where they have one of those photo booth machines!
MISTAKE !!
I had the photo taken - it said look straight ahead, keep eyes looking ahead and wide open, do NOT smile, remove glasses etc etc. !!!
I followed the instructions to the letter and what came out was 5 photo's of a 'haggared miserable looking old lady with big shaddows under her eyes !!!
I was so upset, I went to ask for more change for the machine so that I could have another go with my glasses on but the 'nice lady'persuaded be otherwise !!
I keep looking at that photo and can't believe that it is 'me' !!!
I suppose she was right - another one is not going to look much better and it is only going on the back of my blue badge (if indeed they let me have one ).
I just have to accept that although I feel the same on the inside, I have aged a lot more than I thought on the outside !
Dea Xxx
P.S. - A smile does make me look much better though !!! :-D

Poor Dea, don't take it too hard. Those machine photo booths have that effect on most people.
When in the past I have used them for passport photo's or similar identity proving requirements they have always seemed to make me look like an escaped prisoner or terrorist. Lately they have made me look like a very old escaped prisoner or terrorist. To add insult to injury my latest photograph appears on both my passport and photo driving licence.
|
|
Thank you Jonesey <3 <3
I have talked myself into believing that as I had to have the photo taken without my glasses, I must also look at it without them !!!
Looks better already !! ;-) :-D :-D
Dea Xxx
P.S. - Still don't like to admit I am SO old though !!! :-(
Dea Xxx
|
|
I need one of those Dea....and I wont have my photo taken for the same reason.
Good thing about the Blue badge is you have it facing downwards on the dashboard I believe
ja...x
|
|
I believe that is correct Ja....x !
Have you not got one ??
You must be more than qualified !
I didn't know if I could apply for one as I don't have any problems walking (that is to say - my legs work O.K.), However, as I cannot breath, I can't actually walk very far !!
When I phoned they said that I should apply as I did have 'qualifying' problems!
It would be a great help if I can get one as I could park outside the shop I want to go to, or the dentist etc., without having to struggle to walk for ages.
From what I know about your problems, you should definitely apply for one !
I have decided nowadays that 'whatever makes life easier' is a good thing !
Go for it !!!

|
Aww Dea..............as you know, I is beautiful but even 'I' look average on those instant photo's ;-)
:-D <3
|
|
I wouldn't have minded 'average' Ginns but 'old and haggard' I did not appreciate!!
As I say though, I have decided to view them with my glasses off !! - Much more acceptable ! ;-) :-D :-D
Dea Xxx
|
|
I remember my dad telling me one day 'I looked in the mirror this morning and thought, who is that old bugger'
You are beautiful inside and out Dea <3
|
|
No Dea....I have had the form for 3 years, but as I dont go out on my own its not been a problem.
I did go to a different local hospital recently where they had disabled parking outside the out patients...and it was free...that would have saved £3 a go
Also my parents live on a corner in a back street but have double yellow lines outside....so HID has to drop me off then has to go and find somewhere to park
ja...x
|
|
That's why you should go for it Ja....x - You will be able to park on double yellow lines and use other parking areas for free !!!
Last time I went to the hospital there was no-where to park except 'disabled' which I could not use!
I had to park miles away around the back and by the time I had walked to to front door I was almost on the point of collapse !!
I had to sit down for 10 minutes before I could attempt to make it to the clinic and I had the same problems on the way back to my car!
SO - I hope I can get this - it will make life so much easier!
Dea Xxx
P.S. - Thank you Ginny Ginns <3 <3 <3
