That is not good mews Sylvia.
It is the waiting that is hard,

Jonesy I hope your daughter iis making good progress.
Do not tell her too many jf your jokes.
Laughing can be painful. ;-)

Jonesey Report 6 Nov 2012 22:08

Such sad news about Julie.

I have just read all of her "Thought long and hard" thread. One thing that really stands out is that despite all her own pain and suffering she always found the time to offer good wishes to other GR members and their family members who were having troubles of their own. A remarkable individual.

Jonesey Report 6 Nov 2012 22:28

LK,

No need to worry, not too many people seem to laugh at my jokes in any case. :-(

Just for the record my daughter is now at another hospital where she is in a rehab ward. She is allowed up but still has to wear her neck brace at all times. The ward mainly houses much older patients who are recovering from back injuries, broken hips ect plus others who are recovering from strokes but because they live alone have to remain in hospital until other arrangements can be made for their care. My wife has been to see her this evening and reports that she remains cheerful.

Nice to see a little bit of good news for a change Jonesey - at least she is able to get up now, even if she does still have the brace and has to stay in hospital.

She must be a lot happier and more able to eat and drink etc.

DO give her our love <3
