The porridge was just right Dea.........not too hot........not too cold :-D



It's our Christmas Fair tomorrow so I will be gallivanting out tonight to set up my usual 'Speciality Coffee' stall - hope the weather improves for tomorrow :-S

I thought I was going to be pulled over, in charge of a croissant and mobile phone while driving, luckily someone was in front of me, swigging from a bottle of vodka and on his mobile ;-)

We had a great time last night.


2 of the 3 Honorary degree recipients were there ...... the other had had to leave.

OH knew one, a scientist from South Africa.

The other is the conductor of the local Symphony orchestra ........ he had previously lived in another Canadian city, and OH asked him if he, by chance, knew xxxxx.

He did indeed, and then wanted to know how on earth OH knew xxxxx.


Answer .......... they were at school together in the UK, and their fathers had played rugby against each other back in the 1920s.

I later talked to the conductor, and was told that if we ever hear that xxxx is in town, then we HAVE to let him know!


But the best part of the evening .................... the conductor sat down at the grand piano which was in the reception room and began to play. He was asked to play more, and acceded to requests for "jazz-y"


It was great!

I'm sorry that I missed doing breakfast ........



but Dea did stalwart service in keeping you fed.

Well, my speciality coffee stall is all set up and ready for customers tomorrow - hope we do well. There are 23 stalls in all so it could be packed. :-D :-D


Gins.....!! You weren't using your mobile whilst driving surely? That is SO bad. :-|

If my phone rings whilst I'm driving.....tuff.....I'll answer it when I stop.

Toast (sourdough, rye, white, whole grain, 100% brown, Hovis, gluten-free), croissants, crumpets, arm cakes


Selection of jams, jellies


Tea, coffee, juices


+ some bacon, turkey sausage or sausage patties, eggs, tomatoes, in the hidey place to cook up for the very hungry ones!
