Thank you Sylvs.........much appreciated. Hope you have a lovely time and we will miss you.... <3

Clever Linds......I can't knit but I can crochet. Used to do quite a lot until I got a laptop.... :-D

Those I have missed off my Christmas card list are mostly folk who we knew from many moons ago when we were living in different areas of the country. I'm sure we won't be missed that much and, indeed, they may be grateful :-D

Jonesey, I intended to do that this year and then realised that I hadn't kept a note of people's email addresses. This year, they will be taken note of!!! ;-)

Blowy and dark here but, at least it's not raining :-D

All this talk of the cost of sending out Christmas cards has reminded me of something that happened 30 years ago.

A couple of days before Christmas one of my friends and co-workers in the office handed me a sheet of paper. The verse below was written on it:

Life is tough and times are hard
So I'm sending you this paper,
instead of a card
I think that cards are a bit of a farce
At least with paper you can wipe your ....

Merry Christmas !!!

Sadly that evening he suffered his second heart attack and died aged just 50.
