Hi Dea

Hip is easing off, thank you ....... rubbed my very strong diclofenac gel on it. Plus the different position helps (sitting vs lying down)

OH made the Christmas pud before he went to China;

we have the Christmas letter done and cards bought, now only have to write the card and get it all into the mail ....... all 100+ of them;

Still have to ..........

work out what clothes etc we are each taking for on the train and at daughter's;

work out what new knitting project I will take to do on the train and at daughter's;

sort out books to take;

:-D :-D

Am a bit saddened......opened an early Christmas card to find that one of our friends had died and his wife has had to go into a nursing home because of dementia!

They were very, very kind to us when our first child was born and passed on lots of things because they knew we couldn't afford mega much. He had diabetes but it was left untreated and he was blind for the last 40 years of his life. Grief, I feel old now.....so long ago, so many lovely memories. :-( :-)

I feel sorry for their daughter. She is an only child and, whilst married with a child of her own, it must seem as though she has lost both her parents in a very short space of time.

Enjoy your shopping Sylvs. Hair gel? Do you like the occasional 'spikey' look then? :-D

Just got back from baptism prep. A great gang of folk were decorating church - they always make such a good job of it. We have traditional type candle lamps on poles lining the centre aisle which is very effective and there's loads of greenery around.

One of the Godparents went into raptures and exclaimed that she 'wanted to get married here next Christmas' because it was so beautiful :-S :-S I jokingly reminded her that marriage is more than walking down an aisle - it's more about washing dirty socks!! :-D
