Cyn

you asked a couple of days ago if I would have internet access while we are away.

Not on the train.

Daughter et al have internet but are not keen on me accessing my sites from their computer ................. I usually check my email and send responses every couple of days.

I'm also not sure whether OH will take the laptop .......... it's really just one more piece of baggage to look after. And, if we do, I'm not sure whether it would work in their house as a wireless internet access. It does here in our house, but I think we have a different set-up.

How about if I email you occasionally from there, and you can distribute the news as you like on this thread and on the dark side?????????

Then you will at least know that I am still alive :-D

As you know, I am in my 40s and I am just wondering, will it get any sadder in my 50s

Having taken my 'Astonish' to clean the shower screens this morning, I came out 'beaming' at the wonder of this little pot of gold

Still feeling very pleased with my self, not a trace of soap scum or water mark, you need your sun gigs on to go in the shower room :-D

..........saddo

Linda

Linda Report 7 Dec 2012 16:49

Gins When we put our new shower in a couple of years back it came with a coating that stops all that from happening . I just bought a shower squegee and when someone has a shower they just use it to wipe down the panels. Easy peasy. :-D

Heard on the car radio on the way home that one of the nurses who took the prank phone call from the Australian radio show re the royal pregnancy has been found dead.

There is a thread on the chat board.

Poor woman and she wasnt the one who gave out the info just the poor soul who first answered the phone.

I wonder if the Australian DJ's will comment?

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 7 Dec 2012 17:28

I've just been reading about it Linds. It's so dreadfully, dreadfully, sad. Maybe she was struggling with something else and that put the top hat on things. Poor woman. Poor family. How will those pranksters live with themselves after this? Silly silly people.

Specsavers are fine Dea and willing to make adjustments on the spot.

Now, I've been thinking about you today and wondering why you thought you may want me today? I ain't doing any housework though......it's my day orf!

Gins - I know that feeling. Daft isn't it? I love to see white washing blowing on the line. One of life's little pleasures :-D

That is so sad about that nurse.

I heard on our news about an hour ago that the DJs have stepped back, and are taking a leave.

There was a suggestion earlier (again on our radio news) that they might face manslaughter charges :-S

Linda

that would work ONLY if we take the laptop ................ and if you knew the amount of space there is on the trains, then you will understand why I'm not that enthusiastic about taking it.

Plus, I have arthritis in my hands and find the laptop very difficult to use.

The same applies to an iPad, as Gins suggested ..................... in addition to the fact that I don't want one!

Good morning friends :-D

I could very easily lounge around all day just nibbling at what you provide Sylvs and you certainly do a good job of keeping us fed and watered. Thank you. <3

However, no lounging this afternoon.....am taking grandson into town to see if he can decide on a reasonably priced present for Christmas.........they're good kids really and usually say something like "Is that all right nana?" or "Are you sure?" Love them to bits.... <3 <3 <3 <3

It's very dark and very calm outside...........strange feeling after all that rain :-S

Back later ~~~~~~~
