Dea, hope you had a lovely day :-)

Dea

Dea Report 9 Dec 2012 16:59

EEEeee that Santa has quite 'worned' me out !!!!! ;-) :-D :-D

Well, they all enjoyed it and little grandson took Santa a picture that he had done for him and he was even brave enough to give it to him and talk to him this year!

Money-wise, it was a total 'rip-off' but it was worth it to see how excited they were :-).

It makes you wonder though how young families with children manage at Christmas time, everything is SO expensive and money is tight for a lot of young people :-(

I'm going to join Dea and put my feet up for a bit..............such a long, long day.

Thanks Linds - yes, the baptism was okay thanks. Although they basically have the same format, each church puts its own 'twist' on things......I then ended up going to my son's football club for the 'do' afterwards. Didn't stay too long though as I wanted to make sure things were ok at home. And they were :-D

What do you call an alligator in a vest?

An investigator :-D :-D :-D

just popping in and out as we try to get things done ................

Dea ................... so glad that you had fun yesterday. Things are getting more and more expensive. I think lots of young families are glad they have grandparents to help out with things like your Santa Train, or with presents.

We want to try to get our "bags to be checked" packed and ready to go .........

................. we can take them down to the station any time after about 10 am on Tuesday morning and hand them over.

I have physio and some shopping to do for daughter on Monday, so better to get most of it done today.

I've put about 12 sweaters on one side, from which I have to choose a maximum of 8. Two dressy ones are chosen (no other choice :-D ) ...... so that leaves 6 out of 10 :-D :-D

We'll end up checking 2 suitcases, and 2 boxes ....... the boxes containing mainly presents

Nice thing about the train ....................... we each have an allowance of 3 checked bags, and any extra cost $20 per train .................... so that would be a total of $60 (or about £25) to take an extra bag all the way across the country. Not bad!

But we're not even taking the full free allowance.

Oooer....I popped in, thought Sylvs was busy packing, started to help with breakfast and then realised that it was already there! You can certainly multi task Sylvs....thank you - its a wonderful breakfast. Hope it hasn't delayed you any. :-D

I got out of bed at about 5 and looked out of the window. The sky was so beautiful with the star twinkling clearly. I'm not really into star gazing but just thought how beautiful and serene it all looked. Then I got back into bed..... :-D

See you all later ~~~~

Re Error Message when submitting a post ......................

this is a well known problem, or bug, that has been on going for many months ........................

when it happens, do the following ................

click on Back, as the message suggests.

find your message in the reply box

C&P your message, just in case.

Scroll up slightly so you can see the page numbers.

Click on a page number other than the page you are on (eg, p.2, or 2082 as it is at the moment)

The page will change .................. and 99 times out of 100 will show that the posting has been successful.

Now click on the most recent page .......................

and everything is fine. No double posting, etc etc.

Hope that makes sense.
