Hello to Murray (who is a new poster).

Jonesey, I'll send a pm to him with some of my friendly advice on it and, maybe, get him to repost his query on FA to help him get used to the boards. There are several possible contacts for him on here. :-D

Wonder what's happened to David - hope he's okay. :-S

SylviaInCanada Report 22 Apr 2013 18:58

we had the weirdest weather yesterday

Morning ............... cloudy with some sun, about 10 or !!c ...... .......

.............. which was just fine for the almost 49,000 runners in the 10 km Vancouver Sun Run. Most of them wore shades of blue and yellow in honour of the Boston Marathon people. Overshadowed in the world news of course by the London Marathon

Afternoon ................ about 1 pm, heavy dark clouds, pouring rain, hail ................. all weather that was not foreseen by the meteorologists, and surprised even them

Later ................. from about 4 pm, full sun, cloudless blue skies

:-S :-S

I've had word back from Murray......he thought he had started his own thread.....it's been a long time since he was on here apparently. :-)

Shopping, lots of ironing......and playing around on the puter........that's my day!

Actually got round to persuading OH to come to my favourite coffee shop this morning........he is such hard work at times. I brought home a piece of their delicious chocolate brownie cake, and have just eaten it warm with ice cream.....

I take it you'll be keeping your landline then Gins....??

SylviaInCanada Report 22 Apr 2013 21:20

OH is coming home early ............... we both need hair cuts, and he's currently going to the same girl that I use

BUT she ahs moved to another "shop" ........ now no longer in our own little shopping area, but 3 bus rides away.

So, we combine our visits.

Then .................... the shorn sheep will go for afternoon coffee :-D :-D

Sylvia when our weather did that my Mum said we had 4 seasons in one day :-)

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 23 Apr 2013 03:55

Hi Linda ...................

mine used to say the same thing!!

The interesting thing was that none of meteorologists spotted the rain and hail system moving in!

It was actually a system that moved in from the east ........... our weather almost always comes from the west, or occasionally from the north!

Dea Report 23 Apr 2013 08:10

Thank you Jonesey and a Happy St Georges day to you too <3

Good morning all - the sun is shining brightly here :-D

Yes Sylvs - I am fine thank you :-)

Monday is a busy day for me - I have my usual daily visit to attend and then a bit of shopping and then we have both grandchildren to collect from school and have here for a 'play' followed by tea, then take them home.

By that time I am usually 'ready for bed' so an early night is called for ;-)

Grand-daughter now has such a busy schedule with all her after-school activities etc. that we have had to change all her days with us about.

Thanks for the lovely breakfast Sylvs <3
