Well, that's quite the little display there at FB now! Undoubtedly won't be there in the a.m., but I'll send anybody who wants it a copy of how it stands now ;) -- as I'm about to go home and make hamburgers.

If anything shows up after my comment starting out "Fine" (the 8th comment), will anybody else around keep me a copy??

(update, I have copies of total 10 comments now, 2 more after that one)

Sorry to say not all cats are the same Fans.

I have one cat which I've had nearly two years. She has never pooed or peed anywhere apart from her box and has never torn any carpets or furnature to shreds.
Infact a friend came round the other week and asked if my 5 year old leather suite was new as it was'nt clawed at all.
The dog I had however, who I loved to bits had to stay outside in a little room of her own because she smelled and chewed and pood'd where she should'nt

Dog owners are just too ... ordinary ;) ... to "get" cats. ;)

we had a cat when I was very tiny, I can just about remember her.

She used to sit curled up on the corner of the kitchen dresser, waiting until I toddled by ...... then swipe at my hair with her paw.

Unfortunately, she was attacked by a dog one day, and died of her injuries.

We also had a dog at that same time ........ given to my 10 year old brother when parents weren't sure how he was going to react to the new baby, me.

Of course, Blackie became my protector, and we had him for 10 or 11 years.

We can't have cats because OH is allergic to long time exposure to them ....... he just about manages to get through 2 weeks at our daughter's, with the help of much Dristan, and snuffling.

I love cats ........ and they love me. I'm one of those that attracts cats .............. cats that "have never been known to sit on some non-family person's knee" will come onto my lap!

One of daughter's cats does just that now ...... much to their amazement because "she never goes on anyone else's lap" ...... nor does she stay on their laps as long as she stays with me.

we had a lovely meal out.

I had duck breast, nciely sliced, and with lots of little tiny veggies, and a wonderful "glaze" as they call their gravy :))

OH had tenderloin of beef, which he said almost melted in his mouth

Expensive, but oh so worth it!!

Plus taxi there and back ........... so that OH could have wine. We startedd oing the taxi thing a couple of years ago, it lets him relax.

But we have had very strict drink driving regulations since September ................ maximum reading now is 0.05 and you either have to leave your car and get home some other way or have someone else (who is below the limit) drive you home. A reading of 0.06 will get your car impounded.

That's about a maximum of 2 glasses of wine for the ordinary person.

I know cats can ruin furnature or carpets, as my parents hav'nt had much luck with their carpets...now everywhere is laminate, I have been pretty luck with the two I have had in the last 30 years since leaving home.

My sister has about 8 I think and I lived with her for a while when I walked out on my husband and it did smell of cat piddle...then 7 of them were boys.

HID had never had a cat before this one, only dogs and he loves her to bits and I think she prefers him to me also, throws herself on the floor rolling on her back waiting to be brushed whenever he comes in from work or shopping ect so lovely to see

Two glasses of wine sounds a lot sure that would take you over the limit here for at least a years ban.

Been out of the trade too long to remember but I surpose it depends on the size of the glass 250 mil = 3rd of a bottle

Glad you had a nice meal

problem is ................. no-one is quite sure how much an individual can drink before getting a 0.05 reading.

0.08 and up is when you get the criminal charges

0.06 is impoundment of car for 3-7 days, fine, and cost of releasing car from impoundment ..... adds up to about $600 or $700 I think, or around £300-400

FannyByGaslight

FannyByGaslight Report 27 Nov 2010 10:13

You only just got the snow??????We had it yesterday, you can have ours as well if you like, disgusting stuff, and the ice, hammer has had to be taken to break ice on water bowls and troughs outside today.

You should know by now that Cyn has got a nose like Pinnochio and can ferret out things like a ...well,like a ferret.

Now ferrets I like too, even if they are blood thirsty little suckers...

Well, Im risking going to the supermarket in THAT sledge of a car!

Must get nice things in case I get stuck......at least I'll be able to eat and drink

Dea

Dea Report 27 Nov 2010 15:04

I did that too Ginns!!

Plenty of nice food, cough sweets and chocolate !

Filled the car up with petrol, in case the pumps go off, or they can't get deliveries !!

Don't like to fill it up too often because the car is over 22 years old and the petrol inside is then worth more than the car (tee hee).

It is a LOVELY car though, very reliable, but not worth even a tenner, I suppose!

It will have to 'give up the ghost' one day but when it does I will really miss it !!
