Rochester was lovely.

Lots of atmosphere and we arrived in the middle of the Dickens Festival.

A parade

Costumes

Carols.

Candles

Snow.

The very first German Market is being held in Vancouver this year.

There was almost a disaster ............. about 15 minutes before Official Opening on Novmeber 24, a workman drilled a hole through the wooden wall of one of the stalls .............. and right into a propane tank

Flames, smoke etc etc

No-one injured, although one stall holder lost a lot of his stock.

It did open last Sunday .

................................ I don't think we will have time to get there though. :(((

Cough Cough Cynthia -I had my grand-daughter yesterday as she was poorly !!

A 'nasty virus' - she fell aslep on me - her mouth was an inch from mine - as she breathed out - I breathed in - IF this virus is airbourn, which most are, I don't think I could avoid getting it !!!

I don't have a cough Dea, I was just delicately pointing everyone to the fact that Gins is on the Success board again.


Hope you don't get the virus thingey ...... you really don't need that. When my grandkids have something contagious I let their parents have them! Don't want OH getting anything to make him poorly given his ailments etc.


Was hoping to go to the German markets in Manchester last year but daughter was ill. I thnk son is taking the kids soon.

That market sound great LK --- we always used to go to Belgium for a long weekend and do the Chrustmas Market in Bruges --- it was great -- they made an ice rink in the middle of the plaza - with all the little "huts" around the the edge --- we loved it
