LK.....my grandparents used to live in Rochester and we always spent a week down there every year as part of our summer hols. I remember going out for a car ride with them and they both fell asleep......one on each of my shoulders...........I was about 12 at the time......such fun.....sigh.



It was -3 when I first went out at 8.20 this morning and deadly underfoot. OH nearly slipped over and 2 other people did. The car slid into a kerb as I edged gingerly down a slight slope. Very dangerous weather. Am taking daughter home before it gets dark today.

OOOhhh !!!!!!! - The birds!!! the birds !!!!!

Why is it that in this weather we become inundated by seagulls (In the midlands, FAR away from the sea!!) ?

They are swarming around my back garden and keep diving at my windows.

I have had to close my blinds to stop them slamming into the glass !!

There MUST be a scientific reason for this - does anyone know ??

Arrrghhh Dea.....if that was me with the birds I would be hiding under the duvet. I couldn't stand the film The Birds as I am not at all keen on having flapping wings around me. I suppose it's because of the weather and they are looking for food.


Guess everyone else is busy Dea........and I'm off out soon. soz. Will be back soon though...hopefully.

I remember about 40+ years ago, I was in a friend's house and he had a budgie.

He let it out of the cage to fly around and that saw me hiding behind the settee, shaking !!!!

He was SO sorry, as he didn't think I would be SO frightened. !!

Seagulls head further in land when its too cold out on the coast....its when they come here you know its cold!

Just got back from Tesco......couldnt get into the carpark at Sainsburys...too busy

Tesco was a nightmare and made the Christmas shop look easy. Then as JB went to load the car, I went to the fag counter.......25 minutes later...I said to women serving me I nearly gave up smoking

These voucher things are collectable today (dont ask I dont do loyalty cards) and everyone and his mother was there.....I said to the cashier

'Do you think it might be a good idea to have these voucher collection days 'mid week', yer know when youre not so busy'

Ooooh......brilliant idea she says....can you fill in a card and leave it with me......

..............errrr...that'll be a no, Im orf for a fag

Horrid time I am having ,horrid.Thats why Im not posting much.Dont like to say anything if its not good me...normally...but on this occaision I have to say its terrible,you dont want to come here..
Waited on hand and foot and driven where ever we want,food wonderful,company better...Horrid...Just dont come to Renes house,you will HATE IT...

Dea....I got back okay but it was horrible outside. -2 already and v.foggy. Who on earth would want to miss out on this and be in sunny Spain instead??



Gins..I don't do store cards but I do do loyalty cards. Yesterday, OH bought a new razor and I got some perfume by using that exchange scheme. I also pay for my RAC membership via Tesco vouchers. BHS isn't bad either as I got a discount on a load of stuff I got for Christmas.

Is Christmas coming then Cynths ??? - I really must go and buy it before more snow comes in !!!
