I have a record of the baptism of my 2xgreat grandfather George Thomas Shepherd on 2/2/1823 at union Independent Chapel , Sim Alley off Church St Woolwich dob 9/1/1823. father Joseph, mother Mary and place of abode Plumstead. Spelling on his marriage cert to Ann lee in Woolwich 3/3/1844 is Sheppard and signature is Shephard. Joseph is a labourer and the curate looks like E Sheppard or Shepherd. I have found George in the 1841,51 and 61 census but can't find his parents marriage or any siblings, their deaths or in the census's. Can anYone help me find more about Joseph and Mary please?

Anne

Do you have any registers for St. John Eltham around mid/late 1700s?

Thanks,
