Ann,

I just know that when I was doing my family tree I was getting really frustrated and found it was always easier if you had someone that had a fresh set of eyes that hadn't been looking at the same information for a year or so and got nowhere - alot of people on GR helped me and my mum when we were doing out family research.

Hi Emma,
Another request for you please.
Looking for details of Joshua Wells married to Elizabeth Neil. He was supposed to have been a Sergeant of the 27th Foot Regiment.
His son William was born in 1829 in I think Blantyre.
Any info greatly appreciated.

Hi Emma,
Thanks very much for the info. The birth in 1863 seems to be the correct one as Thomas did have a brother John. I will now try and find further details of this family.

Dear Emma I am desparly trying to find the birth of my great grandad born in 1873 in Invergordon Scotland, his name is Alfred James Ritchie, he married in 1892 in England to jessie Emma Chambers who was born Brighton, they had 2 children.( Alfred James Ritchie and Martha Francis Ritchie) On Alfred's marrage certificate his father is James Ritchie, occupation Slater. Sorry I don't know mother name, but hope maybe clue in his son's children's names. Alfred went for cigs and never came back to his wife jessieas he is in 1901 census with family but can't find then together in 1911, by 1915 jessie has remarried to Daniel Eaton.
Would realy appreciate your time on my huge brick wall.

Qite new to this and seem to be goin nowhere fast
Mary Jane McEwan b Glasgow married John Fenton 1914 in Glasgow Gives her age on marriage cert as 20 2nd marriage to Alexander McCulloch 1920 Glasgow marriage cert gives her age as 27 From this I presume Mary Jane was born around 1894 give or take a year or 2
Cant find a birth record for Mary Jane Know for defo she died in 1959 or 1960 in Glasgow
She had a daughter Isabella born 1919 to her first husband John Fenton and I believe 2 daughters to her 2nd husband Christina and Barbara
Would appreciate any help on this one

Hi Emma, thanks for your very kind offer to do Scotland look-ups!

Im trying to find a Margaret Gourlay born c.1910. (she later married my grandfather Charles H Hall, Hemel Hempstead, I have records of this)

She had sisters Cath, Elsie & Buntie & a brother Andrew. (not even sure if these are the correct spellings!!) They came from Fife, Aberdeen. But I cant seem to find anything on this family.

Have spent money on the Scotland peoples website & seem to be going knowhere fast. Can you help?

Many thanks. Are you able to provide any further details on marriage between Thomas Angus Craig and Charlotte Kelly who married in 1924 or 1926? Believe marriage was September. Area Gowgumshill? Any information would be welcome even volume and page no or ages of bride nd groom.

Hi Emma I was wondering if you could look up Alexander Carcary 1897 I would like to find out who his parents were he was born in Angus Scotland.

I would also like to ask if you could look up Andrew Carcary c 1906 (I think his second name may have been Milne not sure though) his parents were David Carcary and Betsy Gold I would like to know when he was born died and who he married.

I have no information at all, as Margaret died when my father was 23 BUT I have just found out that she was INFACT born around 1925!!! So sorry for the wild Goose Chase!
It certainly does teach you to get all the facts before you start this:)
