What other details do you have on him ?

Gwyn in Kent

Gwyn in Kent Report 7 Mar 2013 20:33

Where did Harry die?

Do you know his birthplace?
Did the informant of death record a birthplace for him?

MarieCeleste Report 7 Mar 2013 20:34

Closest death I can find for that birth year but 2 years earlier than stated:

England & Wales, Death Index, 1916-2006

Where did Harry Partridge die?

GlitterBaby Report 7 Mar 2013 20:36

There is one on 1911 census but he has a middle name

Agree not found a death to match the date given

patchem Report 7 Mar 2013 20:38

Harry Partridge
Date of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec 1879

MarieCeleste Report 7 Mar 2013 20:38

Graham, if his mother was remarried then surely her name wouldn't be Partridge anymore?

Who was the stepbrother?

How have you connected to Harry?

GlitterBaby Report 7 Mar 2013 20:43

1881 has a possible with mother Annie but that cross checks to Harry Sidney Partridge

MarieCeleste Report 7 Mar 2013 20:44

A long shot for 1891 but Graham mentions Annie as mother ....

PARTRIDGE, Alfred Head Married M 40 1851 Railway Guard Castle Hedingham
PARTRIDGE, Anna E Wife Married F 40 1851 Maldon
PARTRIDGE, Maud Daughter Single F 17 1874 Dressmakers Apprentice Islington
PARTRIDGE, Horace Son M 16 1875 Stockbrokers Clerk Islington
PARTRIDGE, Harry Son M 13 1878 Scholar Islington

MarieCeleste Report 7 Mar 2013 20:47

Graham Report 9 Mar 2013 17:38

Thanks for all your responses
Harry partridge died in Bournemouth 1974
There is a verbal story of a coachman of named Heriman
also verbal stories around Kensington area.
Harry's Partridges half-brother was William Course and were
quite close ,
William's father Alfred at some time moved to Essex, with his elder
brother George Dixon..his mother Anne seems to have stayed in London
with William P G----William is my .Grandfather
Hope this answers some Questionsfor you all
look foward to hearing from you with any suggestions or info
I am following up on all leads as they must lead to an answer
(I hope)

GDC :-)

MarieCeleste Report 9 Mar 2013 21:17

pm from Graham

"harry did die in bournemouth his actual date of birthis a bit of a mystery probably in islington his half brother was william p course and was born in islington

Hope this helps

(Have explained about answering on here and removing marked as answered tick).

patchem Report 9 Mar 2013 21:28

I am sorry but I find your information very confusing.

You have so many bits and pieces and 'leads'.

I quote:
'Harry's Partridges half-brother was William Course and were
quite close ,
William's father Alfred at some time moved to Essex, with his elder
brother George Dixon'

If Harry's half-brother was William Course, then William's father is Alfred Course. So who is George Dixon?
Can we have some dates and places attached.

Graham Report 9 Mar 2013 22:42

George Dixon is the eldest son of alfred .
george and lived in orsett .essex
alfred died in 1955 his son george was a witness

alfred is listed as deceased in 1911 ( I think)at
the marriage of my grandfather william p in brighton

and has a female witness of annie partridge ---confused?
I am ,but this is the facts I am trying to find the loose ends
and movments if i can

Thanks for all

Graham Report 9 Mar 2013 22:50

some more info for harry partridge for you all
His profession was a grocer mainly in southern London
I know he had a shop in Brixton this information came from
post office directories

patchem Report 9 Mar 2013 23:44

If George Dixon is the eldest son of Alfred, then Alfred is Alfred Dixon?
But you put that William Course's father was Alfred, so he is Alfred Course?

You have also just put that Alfred died in 1955 and was deceased in 1911.

Is this Alfred Dixon's death:
Alfred Dixon
Birth Date: abt 1883
Date of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec 1955
Age at Death: 72
Registration district: East Ham
Inferred County: Essex
Volume: 5a
Page: 29
Added: The above is wrong as it is Alfred Course not Alfred Dixon who dies in 1955

You have put
'the marriage of my grandfather william p in brighton' in 1911.

I can see no marriage of William Partridge in 1911 in Brighton.

Your grandfather is William Course.
Births Jun 1886
COURSE William Percy G Islington 1b 351
Marriages Dec 1911
Course William P G Brighton 2b 445

OK, so this links some of them:
