HI, I wonder if there are any Hall families in Huttons Ambo please? (near Malton I believe) Thomas & Christina are the names I have but they are probably dead, so I am looking for their offspring. (No names sorry). Thank you Karen

Hi Vanda, I am stuggling with your family. Could you tell me where they married and if you have them on the 61 census at all. I have gone through Moorsholm and Martha is not there. There was one Robinson family with the head being called William but none of the family were born there. There was a Mary Ann but no Martha. I didnt think this was the right family. Malton is quite large so would you know which parish at all they were in there or a street? Any more help will be great Thanks Claire x

Hi Claire Can you just have a look for me at how big Ecclesfield is in 51 and whether it would be a nightmare to search without a name index? I have about 20 families there for the 51, wondered how many pages roughly it covers before I start asking for look ups! Thanks Lou

Bluesavannah Report 29 Sep 2005 09:08

Hi Lou, Ecclesfield is quite large but if you let me know the details of the families you need, i will start a trawl. May take me a while as i will have to go to work as well. Alot of mine were in Ecclesfield so i use the disk quite often. Claire x

Hi Claire, sorry to be such a nuisance. Think I found my GGg/parents in 1861 census. MARTHA ROBINSON- b1840 Liverton, Housemaid at Commercial st. Middlesbrough. ROBERT FLETCHER- b1834 Norton, Servant at Skelton, Yorkshire. Married- 13/12/1863 Skelton. 1871 census-living in Middlesbrough. Not much to go on, But I'd appreciate you looking in 1851 census for me. Do you know if Liverton is near Moorsholm and Norton is near Malton. I have Moorsholm & Malton as their birthplaces. Thanks again Claire, Vanda.

Hi Andrea, I am stuggling with the Frankland's i am afraid. With James Sykes, when did he marry his 2nd wife? I have got his first wife dying in 1850, would that mean he was on his own or could he have gone back to his parents in 1851? I cannot find lowerhouses on my disks at all and Almondbury is huge. Do you have any other sub districts at all? Thanks, Claire x
