Hi Nikki You could well be right, although he appears as Edgar on the census of 1861 onwards, he calls himself by his second name, William, on the marriage certificate of his youngest son. In all other respects it looks a good fit, particularly as they come from a long line of carpenters. Thanks for your help Graham

Hi Nikki Yes, I'm sure the Sarah Harfield you found on the 1861 is Sarah Hatfield. Her Mother was born in Bomer Heath! Thank you very much, I really appreciate the lookup! Regards Ann

Hi Nikki Can you find a Christiana HUCKS for me? That was her married name she came from Dulthome Somerset & was born approx 1815. If you can trace her on 1851 census anywhere in Somerset that would be great. Thanks, Joan

Nikki Report 2 Aug 2005 16:18

Joan Sadly there are no HUCKS at all listed in Somerset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire or Bristol. Could she have been married by `51? Nikki

Hi Nikki thank you so much for looking up my Robins crew. That's definitely the right group and I've confirmed that the 'lodger' was Maria's son in law on later censuses! You've been a massive help in moving this lot on! S:>
