Adam, My geography is hopeless ! Is Dorothy the ONLY child you know about ? or could she be the eldest or youngest of more than one ? Trying to guage of possible year of marriage for Bertie and Mum ! Dancer X 7th November would tally with Victors find ... I think you will find that she was born 7th November 1918 ...... and registered within the Dec qtr of that year.

Adam, Are you thinking that Dorothy was DEFINATELY born 7th November ... 1919 and NOT 1918. Some folks can get the year of birth WRONG ! even on Death certificates. The information on Death certs is given by someone who knew the deceased ... but maybe they didn't know 100% when they were born. My own Mothers death certificate gives her WRONG date of birth, and her husband gave those details. He was upset at the time and couldn't think straight ! Bear this in mind ... Even the person themselves lost a few years on their age whilst growing old !! Dancer x
