Hi Lesley The discs are available to buy either by mail order or via the internet from the Essex Family history site - www(.)esfh(.)org(.)uk and then go to the bookstore (take out the brackets from the website address) and you can either print off an order form to post to them or go to a secure site to order on line, I ordered mine on line and it took about 2 weeks to arrive, but they keep you up to date by email to let you know when its been dispatched etc. Glad youve managed to find lots of rellies through this site :-) Happy hunting. Hi Amanda Sorry theres no Salmons listed, but I did find this family which could be them, it could have been transcribed wrong, unfortunately my Census index is only a Surname index, but I'm sure if you asked someone to check the original at FRC or at Essex Records office they would, or Essex Records office may even be able to send you a photocopy of the page, and then you would also know the relationships and what jobs they did:- HO107/1771 Folio 358 (Navestock) Charles SAMMONS - 3 yrs old - Born STAPLEFORD George SAMMONS - 9 yrs old - Born DAGENHAM John SAMMONS - 5 yrs old - Born STAPLEFORD John SAMMONS - 40 yrs old - Born NAVESTOCK Letitia SAMMONS - 1 yr old - Born STAPLEFORD Marian SAMMONS - 7 yrs old - Born STAPLEFORD Sarah SAMMONS - 10 yrs old - Born DAGENHAM Sarah SAMMONS - 34 yrs old - Born DAGENHAM William SAMMONS - 75 yrs old - Born NAVESTOCK Hope this lot helps you. Hi Karen Thank you so much x They could very well be mine, I certainly have a Letitia Salmonds/Salmon/Salmons. Her mother did think she was born in Dagenham in one of the census. I have ordered the 1861 disc just to make sure. Let me know if I can help you anytime. Amanda

Hi Karen Can you please search both disks for the name CORBELL - its quite an uncommon name, so there shouldn't be too many. I am most specifically looking for a John Corbell who would have been about 11 at the time and is more likely to be on the Ongar disk than the Chelmsford, I think!!! Many many thanks for anything you can find. Lesley

Hi Karen Just been looking at the info you gave Ness from Somerset on the Whitbread families. I was going to ask you about one of those families before I read your look up requests and lo and behold you've already answered my question. Thanks, great work Carol

Thankyou Karen - not sure how these Pegrams fit in but I've printed and filed with my Pegrams and maybe they will "fall into place" one day. Thanks again, Christine

Hi Carol I will do each search under a different message so I dont get myself muddled up :-) The only George and Mary Benton I could find under the same folio number with Mary born in Moreton with a similar age is the one below, I'm thinking maybe the George Benton is Marys older brother (named after his father), unfortunately the relationship to Head arent listed on the surname index I have, but I'm sure if you spoke to the "local Studies" section of the library closest to Moreton they would send you a copy of the folio page for a small charge :- HO107/1771 Folio 124 (Moreton) George BENTON - 22 yrs old - Born MORETON Mary BENTON - 20 yrs old - Born MORETON I also found this lot of Bentons that were born in Moreton, maybe Mary's younger siblings and George senior and wife? HO107/1771 Folio 118 (Moreton) Ann BENTON - 44 yrs old - Born WEST HUNWICH Ellen BENTON - 2 yrs old - Born MORETON Emma BENTON - 18 yrs old - Born MORETON George BENTON - 45 yrs old - Born HIGH LAVER Henry BENTON - 10 yrs old - Born MORETON James BENTON - 15 yrs old - Born MORETON John BENTON - 12 yrs old - Born MORETON William BENTON - 6 yrs old - Born MORETON Details of your other surnames to follow.
