Hi Rick, Does the 1841 cover Chelsea? I am looking for John and Mary Hawker, 9 Markham Street. Marion

Rick

Rick Report 14 Jun 2004 18:30

Hi Marion, Yes it covers Chelsea. Sorry, but the name of the family at number 9 was Clifton. Rick.

Hi Rick Thanks anway for looking. The two Marylebone addresses were from a marriage certificate which was registered in Marylebone so I assume that the streets were in that district. Kennington is in the Lambeth district. Maybe that isn't covered on your disc, as it was part of Surrey until 1889? Regards Richard

Sharon, The houses are not numbered in that street. They rarely were recorded on the 1841. Rick.

Rick

Rick Report 15 Jun 2004 14:56

Richard, The family at number 3 was the Scott family. Rick.

Marion

Marion Report 15 Jun 2004 15:26

Rick, Thankyou so much for the second look, I really do appreciate it. Its such a pity the 1841 doesn't give birthplace and 1851 was apparently illegible for Mary's birthplace. Marion

Rick

Rick Report 15 Jun 2004 19:04

Sharon, Sorry, no sign of you Skyms anywhere in the street. Rick.

Hi again Rick Thanks for checking the Kennington address. I've just received another cert with an address - it's hard to make out, but looks like "60 Gee Street, Old Street, St Luke" (Old Street is the sub-district). If there's no Gee Street, maybe it is an abbreviation of George Street or something similar? I'm looking for the Glasby family, who were there in 1838. Many thanks once again, Richard

Sharon

Rick Report 16 Jun 2004 17:22

Richard, There was no sign of the Glasby's in Gee Street, although some areas were very hard to make out. Rick.

Hi Rick Would you please see if you can locate William Newberry/Newbery/Newbury b 1830 in Limehouse (Stepney). His family always seem to be around Gill St (Union Place, Tenbury Place). if you could possibly tell me who is in the household, that would be marvellous. Thanks in anticipation
