Hi Jess, if you are still bored!! Would you mind very much if you could find one of my many John Walker's, I know he is in the 1861 census, which I have details for but would really like a copy of.......details are John Walker b. 1837 born Nottinghamshire, lodger with George Erwood, also 'annah Erwood b. 1845, James Erwood b.1806, 'annah Erwood 1809 all living in Hound Hampshire, I have these details but would love the rest, like place of birth of the others, and John Walker's Occupation, and anything else that may help me. thank you, if you can manage to do this for me. I will send email address if you have any luck, ... thanks.....Lilly

Jess Wonder if you are still ready and willing. From the Warwickshire Criminals register I found a gt gt Aunt who was the victim of rape in Birmingham in 1870, her name was Harriett Charlesworth and she was 14 just years of age. From the same criminal register Caleb Taylor was convicted of rape in Birmingham in 1870 and the case number was the same. Would you please look for him in the 61, 71, 91 and 01 Census. I have found him in the 1881 living in Birmingham with his wife and a lodger. He was bc 1840 in Oxfordshire. Also would you be kind enough to look for Harriet Charlesworth on the 1861 and 1871 (She died in 1874). I want to know if Caleb Taylor was living in Close proximity to the Charlesworths at any time. Many thanks in anticipation Chris

Jess, Yes, I can see that is a more logical way to work. I will have to get birth registration details of my grandmother Lilian, (Robert's 4th child )born in Salford in 1891 and then buy the birth certificate. Happy hunting with Christine's request. Regards, Pauline

Hi Jess I am soo sorry I have only just been able to reply. I am at work where I am on reception. I had just posed my question to you when I was asked to help with some work downstairs (I am normally left pretty much alone and can access the internet. I got back to my desk just after 2 and could not access GC! IT had put a block on the site. You must have felt very frustrated and somewhat infuriated that I did not reply. I apologise again, should have realised something like this could happen and wait until I get home. It has been the longest 2 hour waiting to get back on. I will now look at your replies now that I'm on again Thank you so much for all your effort and patience Chris

Jess Moseley Street is almost in Bordersely, and although Ashted Row (it is Ashted) is no longer in existence I am pretty sure it was in the town Centre and not too far away from where Harriet lived. Spooky to think he may have seen her regularly before he committed his heinous crime. By the way he got 5 years penal servitude. I am hoping to visit the County record office to look at the case and see if it gives further details. I am hoping for a date then I can perhaps look at back copies of the newspapers. Once again thank you for looking them up Chris
