Dear Paul

I don't know how or why I landed on this post tonight, but I spent two hours reading all the messages! Mostly 2 years old.

It might have been because I know my grandma had two evacuees during WW2 and I have often wondered what happened to them but I don't know their names, so I can do nothing. I know my mum was very fond of them, but she died last year, so too late to ask.

After reading the posts, which are many, I wonder if you could summarise it all for such as me, relatively new to the site.

You clearly did a stirling job for the little girl. Did you ever find her parents? Or close relatives?

The story is almost worth writing a book about, sad thought the tale is.

I had to remove my specs 4 times during reading the various posts, to dry away the tears.

Sorry if this is now all behind you, as I said, I don't know how I landed here.

Margaret

Melinda, fantastic that living relatives have been found.

I followed this story closely when it was originally online.

Thanks, Ozi.
