Morning Daffers! you seem to be recovering very well from the nasty cold, and a good job too!!! Hope Mr Daffers is well on the way to recovery also.

Just hung out the third load of washing (having already hoovered through, made bed, bathed, washed pots) God I'm just a Domestic Goddess aint I? )))

Truth is, I was up at 5.00 am following a vivid nightmare! Must be overdoing something, and I reckon it's possibly the red stuff!

Wont be long now before Hunky Gardener is around - I cant wait to hear the planting scheme and hear all about it.

You take care now - hope all goes well at Top Docs. as I seem to remember you were off for visiit???

Bi for now

Hi, Daff, your garden sounds lovely and the new addition to it will be great...
Every 2/3 years I cut the hydrangea right back, so now I have lovely lush green foliage, usually when its had a really good cut back it misses flowering this year, but I have had it for 25 years and have spectacular blooms, you can see it on live search maps only it looks red when its really blue....I took a cutting from it and the plant turned out to be a lace cap hydrangea, really lovely plant, but it was odd......

Jude, I used to have a dairy produce stall on our local market many moons ago, we used to get loads of stealing, one day a lady well dressed came and i saw her put 2 eggs in each pocket ,when I challenged her she denied it, so I said you wont mind then if I feel your pockets so I hit them both quite hard and smashed the eggs, never saw her again.....dont mess with me lol......

Hope all goes well with your next hospital visit Daff .....

Am here.... and a bit sozzled, lol.... R was with me and heard all I had been told... but with a few reservations, like... AML has a very high rate of relapse etc, and although it is looking good, the next six monhs are crucial.... so R is about to wrap me back up in cotton wool!!

Basically... I have had an excellent result, but AML being what it is, there are no guarantees, lol.... so we are now sitting tight and waiting.... the longer it goes without a relapse, the better my chances, even with a bonemarrow transplant.. I have a 50 to 70% chance of survival to the 1 year point.... that means 1 year after the last lot of chemo... 3 months ago now. Today, for the first time. I feel as though I am sitting on a time bomb... tomorrow I might feel better. Sorry for being such a wuzz!

So the results are excellent as far as it goes.... but we have to sit tight and wait... AML is very difficult to sort out and very good at nipping back in to bite yer bum..... tonight I feel a bit weepy and delicate, so forgive me for not answering everyone properly. I'll get back to you all tomorrow.

Love and (((((hugs))))

We will all be with you on that time bomb Daff for the next 9 months and beyond. Don't you stop thinking positive now, you know you are going to beat it. Can't help feeling that in some ways the old ways were better when they didn't give us all these percentages.

Love and ((((((hugs))))))

Positive thoughts coming your way, you have to think positive its done wonders so far. Take care:o))

Daff, you hang on in there, you have been so brave and got this far, you aren't going to let anything bite your bum are you? Just take lots of care and let R. mollycoddle you when he wants/needs to and at other times, hit the bottle or the chocolate, whatever gets you through any doldrums.
You know we are all here to listen and fight your corner, I am sure by today you will be feeling a bit better again and able to put your mind to your garden and all the things that make your life pleasureable.

Love and hugs

Good morning dear Daff:-) Just got back last night from Barcelona and read your post. It is true that you have been so incredibly upbeat and positive about your sickness that you are bound to have a small 'darkness of the spirit' as my Dad would have called it, every now and then. I, too, hate it when I hear percentages...they are far too bald and cold! Anyway, as Liz and everyone else says we are always here, marching beside you:-) Mwahhh for now. BCXX

Jac

Jac Report 19 May 2009 09:39

Morning Daffers (and Mr of course).

Hope you aren't too hung-over this am?? ))))

See.......I wonder why we latch on to percentages and so on so much? Just bleddy numbers at the end of the day, and numbers can be tweaked any which way you can!

Forget the number game girlie - you concentrate on ensuring you do as told, dont take any really unnecessary risks health wise, get on with what you want to do and enjoy yourself!

Positivity and spirit is what's needed and you dont need a bloody percentage/ratio for that love, cos your's is 100%

I'm off out now to deliver tomato plants all over the village!! one 25p packet of seed from Wilko's = 200 or more plants! Anybody want a dozen?

Take care - bi for now

Morning Daff, well we will all be sitting tight with you, every step of the way!!
And your not a wuzz!!! Your one extremely strong Lady, I would have cracked a long time ago!( a the first sight of a needle)! So you can get that out of your head straight away!!! And the only thing thats going to bite your bum is Mr Daff!!!
Now, I think were all unanimous on that. So if Mr,. want to wrap you in cotton wool, let him! cos we will otherwise.God, I wish I had half your strength of character.
Well ,
Love as always.

Morning everyone.... I am feeling a bit better today, had a cry-fest last night, snot dripping and red swollen eyes, the works... first one since I lost Belle, before I was diagnosed... poor R slept through it, just me and Jethro tucked up on the sofa!!

You are all really wonderful... I'm not strong, not really... but I do feel stronger cos of all the support and good wishes, and love that has been shown me since I was ill.... I have been incredibly lucky! Mwah to you all!

Yesterday, it all got just a bit too much, anxiety mixed with relief I suppose.... also my Hunky Landscaper phoned yesterday and said he couldn't start today, as the weather has put him behind on his previous job... so he will be with me next Monday... earlier if the weather improves!! I was sooooo disappointed.... I have even bought him a gazebo thingy so that he could have somewhere dry to stand in between showers, lololol Still, R has been using it as a ciggy shelter!

And my mother and half my siblings are behaving like 5 year olds in the playground........ Sigh... I do hope they are speaking to each other in time for my birthday!! lolol

Thank you everyone, I really do appreciate all your support.

I am off now to kill a bush in the garden.... well, just lop off some of it's lanky growth... it isn't doing well at the moment.... I don't even know what it is called, lol

Love and ((((((hugs))))))) to you all

Afternoon Daffers!

hope the paracetamols have worked chook))))) that will teach you to wallop the stuff down when you are feeling a bit down - you stick to hot chocolate next time you feel a bit like that girl (and I hope there will never be another "next" time like that for you) (((HUG)))) and I dont normally "do" hugs and things.

There - consider yourself told off!

I'm just back from trudging around with tom.plants - I gave one or two to each passing stranger, dropped some of every door step - (even the buggers who didnt want 'em) May 19th is now officially Tomato Day!!

The heavens opened at one point and it might be my imagination, but I think I can feel a sore throat coming on - maybe it was just the smell of the toms??

Anyway, today is today, yesterday was yesterday and is now in the past. Onwards and upwards flower - you've a garden to plan and a hunky bloke arriving any day soon. Would he win in a Wet T-shirt contest? I reckon he would, so lets hope for slight showers when he arrives eh? )))

You take care - bi for now
