Hi SS and Tec

Just so long as it's not a garland of garlic! I know that the cruise will cost an arm and a leg and I did call my bank manager a blood sucking leech but even so.

I hope that it is not grass-burning season when we arrive at Honlulu!!

But Allan.......

The cruise is free - I'm paying - so long as I win the lottery -
but you will have to pay your bar bill yourself.

So tell that skinny bank manager where to put his $s

Good morning/evening everyone. This thread just runs along nicely whether I'm here or not:))

I haven't got a darn thing to do today - except make about 10 phone calls and catch up on a little paper work. Lovely. No shopping to do, no h****work and no tea to prepare as we're going out for a Thai meal. So I'll do some gardening and reading. I may introduce some new worms to my OH's worm farm - we bought 500 yesterday:))

OH has just given breakfast to 2 magpies. I'm wondering if they have babies already because dad is taking food to the nest. I put some coconut fibre out for the birds to use for their nest and it was gone very quickly. The only worry I have is that the nest is in a tree in front of a neighbours house and if they notice they will try to get rid of it. It's very high up so hopefully they won't see it.

The day is rather cloudy but I'm hoping that the sun will burn up some of the cloud and we'll have another sunny day. I noticed in the area where my OH was born it was the same temperature there as it was here yesterday.

Aussies I hope you all have a great day and a good evening to our Brit friends.

Tec, you misunderstood me.

I was arranging the loan for the bar bill.....just mine of course.

I think it was another thread that SueMaid libelled me by saying that I lived in a one horse town and that I was the town drunk

What a cheek......we have at least two horses in Bunury!!

Cheers

Hi SueMaid

I didn't see you standing there. You came in very quietly!

Hope you have a great day

Mmmmm......a good job you didn't say anything nasty about me, Allan. It's only libel, by the way, if it's not true. Didn't you try to convince Lynda that your second name is Susan?

Good Morning Sue,

Sounds like you are going to have a nice relaxing day enjoy it.Those magpies sound interesting - I hope they are left alone to nest. The only other thread I post on here is bird related. Too scared to post on any other thread - probably get eaten alive - very scary.

You said you had read "All Creatures Great and Small"
Have you ever read Gerald Durrells books -
He wrote "My Family and Other Animals" and several others. Very entertaining - make me laugh out loud while reading.
There was a TV series based on his books - did they show it there?

Wellll......it was only half true, and I did say that I had multiple personalities (perhaps that was on another thread) all of whom were called Allan.

Then one got it into my head to call itself Susan

Apologies, Tec, you are not going bonkers, SueMaid and myself were just referring to another thread.

Allan.........That all sounds very bizarre - and too much for me at this time of night........the mind boggles.

So I won't even think about it

Tec - Of course Allan will need the dancing girls - why else do you think he is doing all this walking to keep in trim??? He's already planning on losing his OH's ticket - so I think I'll bring my ironing along on the off chance that he might do it for me.

Sandie - You ARE going to explain to us how to pronounce that, aren't you?

Allan - you do get the garland. We arrived in Honolulu at 3am but didn't get any dancing girls - instead we got a little old man who put a garland of frangipanni around our necks -then made a b-line for his car to go home!

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 31 Jul 2009 00:05

Don't even try to figure it out Tec. Allan is nuts anyway:))

I will look out for the Gerald Durrell books. I don't remember a tv series based on his books. I do remember watching All Creatures etc. We loved it for the scenery as we do Heartbeat.

Hi Berona,

So you DO get up at 3.00am!

If all that is on offer is little old men then lead me to the ironing board.

I very nearly committed a faux pas in a post just a little earlier: I was going to make reference to the bush fire season!
