I always fancied writing a historical type novel but to be honest that sort of story involves a lot of research because you have to have the background historical and geographical facts righ. If you read the foreward in many novels you will see thanks to all sorts of people who have helped with that sort of background so I wonder if it is something you do when you are more established.

I do have a short (about 3000 words I think) story that I have written but it is a bit Woman's weekly. I like it but it is a very gentle story. I will maybe pluck up courage and send it out but not sure.

Go on Ann be tempted, I like gentle, can be very poignant. I'd love to read it.

Ooo Jen, I read it last night, I'll send you my thoughts later on.

Ann, do send it, I'd love to read it. Mine's a bit 'People's Friend', but that was intentional.

I'll look forward to reading it.

I have had a headache for 3 days, got too bad to do anything yesterday

It is still there and I am useless just now.

Sorry to hear that Deanna, I hope you will feel better soon. Impossible to do anything with a headache around isn't it? Maybe it is the weather.

Deanna, get it checked out if it's still there tomorrow hun. My OH has had a stroke and sometimes gets some nasty headaches, four years later! It could just be an after-effect but all the same, get it checked.

Ann, I've sent my comments back to you...

I've also sent a short story of mine round, written about a year ago. I prepared it and adjusted it for submission to My Weekly Fiction Feast, then saw Della Galton had written a similar story, though the object was different, it was so similar I decided against submission for fear of an accusation of plagiarism.
