Just an update, my OH starts his treatment a week on Monday.....its called BCG remember those TB vaccinations, well they have found it works well on bladder cancer, he has 6 Mondays treatment , 6 off, 6 mondayss on 6 off, then a biopsy
then 6 on and then 5 months off, so a long haul, puts pay to most of 2014. But who cares as long as I still have him by my side.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts for us both

Just in case anyone is looking for a nudge to get writing again. I have seen the following first line of a short story prompt inWriting Magazine.

"The view from the hotel window was breath taking"

(Where was the hotel, who was in the room, what were they doing there, what was so special about the view?)

Some exercises for the poets among us:

Write a poem that repeats words or phrases, or whole lines effectively

Write a poem in which each line repeats one word from the previous line.

Start each stanza with the same words e.g. I saw or I hear.

Write a chidren's poem or story with the first line:
A bat flew out one starry night
Pirate O'Malley was grouchy and mean.
A witch called Wendy had a cat
High on a hill lives a marvellous goat
On a faraway planet there once lived a (alien name of your choice).

Thanks Ann,

I have ground to a halt with writing, so maybe one of those options will kick start my brain :-S
