Hello Jane,

Pm AnninGlos to let her know and she will let you
know what to do.

Emma :-)

AnninGlos Report 13 Apr 2014 20:13

Hello Jane, do you write? Stories or poems? You are very welcome to join but we are in a bit of a slump at the moment, none of us except Dermot seem to be producing anything. Please tell us on here a bit about what you are interested in.

Persephone

Persephone Report 22 Jun 2014 07:20

I'd like to say I have been enjoying Dermot's regular meanderings... but there are at least two sagas that need to be carried on by a couple of members.. by the time I get them I will have to go back to the beginning and reread..

So I would welcome something from you Jane.. Glossie Ann will pass on my e-mail address to you... Emma and I just read, we haven't learnt to write yet..

Persie

And Jane.. I am happy to send you two or three sagas of other people that should be sending them out so you can see what they get up to.

Maybe Rosie's cat can type up an interesting article it does seem to like being kitten on the keys.

AnninGlos Report 22 Jun 2014 13:06

mmm I think something needs to be done about the writers' group as it seems to have died a death. The only one to keep writing, and goodness knows how he keeps his ideas flowing, is Dermot. And now Emms is fed up with not having anything tor ead so she is dropping out of the group.

Perse I have not had a decent idea for ages but which piece in particular do you think I should concentrate on to see if I can take it further?

Jane you have not come back to me but if you have anything written for us to read please let me know and I will send you the e mail addresses.

Glossie Ann, I am left wondering what is happening with Amy or have I missed something the last time I read about her in Taking a Chance was in February.

Rosie's Snow Globe is at a stalemate

and I understand if Jan can't continue her colourful saga..

Mauatthecoast Report 23 Jun 2014 00:08

Sorry I've not contributed anything.

I honestly can not 'get going' ... whatever it's called has me in it's grip and I've had no flashes of inspiration
.....I am trying and yes okay who said yes you are :-0

Anyway I didn't have a story running so I can claim writers' block immunity :-D

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 23 Jun 2014 08:37

Mau, hopefully inspiration will return. I think when we were all writing it was what kept us going but with only Dermot writing we seem to have lost the will. I am loathe to close the group so, if inspiration strikes we can continue. It doesn't help that Rose is not on here now, although I know she still reads. :-D

Perse I shall have a re-read of taking a chance and see if I get any brain waves :-D

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 27 Jun 2014 16:56

Oh I am impressed, I have just sent out another short chapter of Taking a chance, seeing that it was February when I sent the last one out I hope you can remember the story. :-D

Persephone Report 28 Jun 2014 02:37

Thank you Glossie Ann..

Have read Rosie's Snow Globe continuation

Have to read Dermot's one which looks rather interesting.. Dermot certainly can talk about a variety of subjects.

We had a woman being interviewed on TV the other night, she is 93 and she had been keeping a diary since 1939.. she wrote all her entries in exercise books. She started it as something to do when her husband was away in WW2.. She stopped a short while ago.. her last entry was stating that sadly she could write no more as blindness prevented her from doing so.. the writing was all so neat and uniform, no crossings out.. the last entry was a little bit scrawly but that was to be expected.

She said it is annoying not being able too, as she has so much she still wants to write.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 28 Jun 2014 10:32

Perse How sad to have so much to say and not be able to say it. And I don't suppose it would be the same if she dictated it to somebody else, she wouldn't be able to see her words on the page.

Yes I have read and commented on both the snow globe and Dermot's piece, he just seems able to write about any subject. I bet he was a wow at essays at school. :-D

Persephone

Persephone Report 28 Jun 2014 12:01

My diaries are very boring.. lots of blank pages and in between various appointments and meetings.

And birthdays and presents etc . Used to be quite good at diarising before one had a computer.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 28 Jun 2014 14:45

I still do a holiday diary on my IPad but have never kep up ordinary diaries, I think I did one year and have that somewhere.

AnninGlos Report 5 Jul 2014 20:18

Jan (greenfingers) is opting out until the autumn, please remove her e mail addy until further notice.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 10 Jul 2014 15:55

For those few stalwarts who are left with us, I have sent out another chapter. Sent it out early as I am away tomorrow for the weekend. Mau have you dredged anything up yet?

What we could do with is a bit more interest, maybe somebody new to read and comment for us. Such a shame that our numbers have dwindled so much this year.

'Emma'

'Emma' Report 10 Jul 2014 16:12

I agree it's a shame Ann that the writers have dried up due
to writers block and other circumstances, but this does happen
and it is difficult to keep going with just one writer sending out
his work.
Maybe come the Autumn this will pick up and new writers and readers
will join, I hope so as when in full swing it is very enjoyable.

'Emma'

'Emma' Report 10 Jul 2014 18:14

I didn't mean for my name to be taken off the list. I thought to
wait for the muse :-D to come back to you all and you would
send them to me, sorry I didn't make it clearer :-)
Yes by all means send me the pieces, thanks Ann :-D
