Overall people on this thread , ain't doing bad are we :-D I know I have maintained for 3 weeks, but I have at least lost inches, which I won't grumble about. I am doing a food diary this week, just to make sure there isn't something I was eating that was mucking the diet up, I have found one thing so far, fat free yoghurt, they aren't all syn free on SW diet, and I eat loads, so now back on the ones that are fat free for SW. I have just a stone, or thereabouts to lose, lost 6 and a half pounds already, so even if I lost a 1lb a week, I'd be happy. I hope the scales show at least a small lose next week, as it's nice to be rewarded for my commitment. I have two holidays coming up, in the next couple of months, one is to a spa, so that one won't be too much of a challenge, because I have saunas and steams, exercise classes, and lots of walks, but the other one is a trip to Scotland, and although I will be walking, food is provided :-0 I'm not sure if there are any healthy alternatives, but if I did put on a couple of pound that week, I won't fret about it :-D

We're doing allright Ladies, we'll have to have count up of all the pounds we have lost together in a few weeks, we'll be chuffed I'm sure.

Keep the faith, and the weight off :-D

Paula I admire you for taking the plank challenge. From experience I know how hard it is and it is ten years ago when it was part of my aerobics class.

Teresa. I have several items of clothing that I was wearing this time last year that I don't feel comfortable in now. I can't wait to get back into them and I refuse to buy bigger sizes or I will never bother to lose the extra stone that I'm carrying around.

You're right Dame Shelley a pound is better than nothing.

Lynda enjoy your holidays you may even lose on your spa week which will cancel out any gained in Scotland.

Fat free products usually have more sugar to make the taste acceptable. Products marked lower in fat, unless they state how much lower, can be just the minutist amount lower, not enough to make any difference.

Always read the labels, I try to keep to 4% or less fat per 100grams of product.

DESSERTS spelt backwards is STRESSED.

:-D so it is, no wonder we need them in times of trouble.

I have started buying Onken set youghurts. The low fat ones are nice but the natural set ones are only 3.7grams of fat per 100 grams and a 150gram serving is only 104 calories. They are nice and creamy and go well with fruit or on their own. I normally have some for breakfast and it keeps me going longer than the official low fat ones. The only ingredient is cows milk with active live bio cultures. On the RC diet she usually states that food should be less than 5%fat per 100 grams so this yoghurt fits the bill all round I think :-D

It would be interesting to see our combined weight losses.

Well done ladies with the weight losses and those who have maintained, I personally think that after a month or so some people do seem to stand still for a week or 2 some loose inches some get dishearted, but like Lynda is you keep a food dairy you do tend to get back on track, and the ones that havent been so good...awww what the heck put it behind you and start again.

I lost loads with in my first 2/3 weeks and then maybe a 1lb a week or even every 2 so I stopped weighing myself every week, I weighed myself over a week ago and I was at my target weight "WHOOP WHOOP" now I leave the scales alone for a few weeks then just to check. :-D At the begining I just couldnt find it in my heart to measure myself, however I have dropped 2 dress sizes and believe it or not become the butt of bra jokes from daughter , I''ll say no more ;-)

Well done Lynda. Keep going every little helps. Two lbs is great. I have stayed the same which is amazing considering we were away for the weekend.

Last day of 250 squats tomorrow, ninety seconds plank, getting harder. Looking for my next challenge. .

Well done Lynda I don't hold out too much hope for a loss this week.

Paula you must have strong stomach muscles now, good for you sticking to it. X

~Lynda~ Report 19 Aug 2013 22:14

Paula, you must be very pleased with yourself, well done:-D

TS, I really didn't think I had lost this week, but then again, I thought I had lost the last three weeks, and didn't, hopefully you have lost :-D

It was my 8th week at slimming club, and I;ve lost 8 1/2lb, so a little over a 1lb a week, which is fine :-D One woman at out club has lost 9 stone 3lb, she has gone from a size 32 to a size 14 :-0 you wouldn't recognise her from a photo of how she looked, not only has she lost weight, the ailments she had have diminished. Losing weight can make a vast difference to your health

Silly Sausage Report 20 Aug 2013 09:17

Well done Paula :-D

Lynda 2lb well done you, did you notice anything in your food dairy or because you were keeping a dairy was you extra careful ?

~Lynda~

~Lynda~ Report 20 Aug 2013 10:02

Morning Hayley :-D

I wrote EVERYTHING down that I ate, so maybe I was extra careful, but truly didn't overeat the weeks before, but perhaps because I wrote it down there were times when I would have eaten something, but didn't, who knows? I'm still wondering if it was to do with all the walking I did, when in London, I I walked a couple of miles a day, and my whole day was different to that when I am at home, maybe it knocked m metabolism out of kilter? I just hope now I continue to lose, I have done SW diet a couple of times, and was so pleased with it. The lady who has lost 9 stone 3lb, and is now a size 14 from a 32 said to me that because I haven't much to lose, I won't get big losses like she did, I accept that, I've got under a stone to lose now, so as long as it comes off, I'll be happy:-D

I don't know about you and the rest of us on here Hayley, but the benefits of losing weight aren't all to do with what the weight on the scales say, it's to do with eating healthily, your agility, and of course just being able to do that dress up without breathing in :-D

Cooper

Cooper Report 20 Aug 2013 16:39

:-D :-D :-D :-D Target weight Hayley :-D :-D :-D :-D I bet your chuffed to bits. 2 dress sizes is a great achievement.

Well done DS and Lynda on the 2lb loss, it all adds up.

I'm back on track now after last weeks. I'm on holiday countdown so need to stay focused. Weigh in day is Saturday. :-D

Weigh in today, week 4.

Gained a pound. I didn't expect that but didn't think I would lose anything either. I thought I'd been good, but still not much exercise.

So it now stands at 4lbs in 4 weeks.

Will try and do a food diary this week.

It's certainly a slow old job this time

~Lynda~

~Lynda~ Report 21 Aug 2013 08:55

Don't take to drink TS a pound isn't end of the world :-D

As you know I'm finding it slow to come off this time, but as I've lost just over 8lb in 8 weeks, I can feel the difference already.

Looks like we have the same metabolism losing a 1lb a week, but just think how gorgeous we will look by Christmas :-D :-D

PollyinBrum

PollyinBrum Report 21 Aug 2013 09:24

Losing a little bit is better and you are more likely to keep it off. When people have huge weight loss it can be difficult to maintain, and will often result in putting it back on plus a few extra lbs. Get back on track and just keep going .

I have finished my 250 Squat Challenge to day, and did 90 on Plank Challenge.
