Proverbs 23 v 22 - 25 Listen to your father, without him you would not exist. When your mother is old, show her your appreciation. Truth, wisdom, learning and good sense - these are worth paying for, but too valuable for you to sell. A righteous man's father has good reason to be happy. You can take pride in a wise son. Make your father and mother proud of you; give your mother that happiness. Good News Bible. Blessings for your day, Vonny

'But the hour is coming , and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 'God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.' John 4 23-24. New King James Bible.

Verses from week beginning 3rd Sept. Theme: Father SUNDAY: This then is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, may your holy name be honoured; May your Kingdom come; may your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need. Forgive us the wrongs we have done, as we forgive the wrongs that others have done to us. Do not bring us to hard testing but keep us safe from the Evil One. Matthew 6 v 9 - 13 Living Bible MONDAY: I bless the holy name of God with all my heart......... he is like a father to us, tender and sympathetic to those who reverence him. For he knows we are but dust and that our days are few and brief, like grass, like flowers blown by the wind........ Psalm 103 exerpts TUESDAY: All whom my Father has given (entrusted) to me will come to me. And him who comes to me I will most certainly not cast out - I will never, no never, reject one of them who come to me. John 6 v 37 Amplified WEDNESDAY: A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother. Proverbs 10 v 1 RSV SATURDAY: I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper who will stay with you forever. He is the Spirit who reveals the truth about God. The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and help you remember all that I have told you. John 14 v 16, 26 Living Bible __________________________________________

The Father loveth the Son,and hath given all things into His hand. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life, and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3 v 35-36 King James Bible. Gwyn

From Isiah chapter 55, which is headed 'A free offer of mercy to you all.' 'For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Isiah 55 v12. New King James Bible.

Our preaching tonight was based on the following: I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Psalm 40 vs 1-3 A Psalm of David, I'm sure we can all remember the 'dark' days when we did not 'Know' God and yet he loved us even then - had mercy upon us, gave his only begotton Son and the faith to believe he died for our sins and placed us in His everlasting arms, forgiven and joint heirs. What a God!!!!! Praise His Holy Name. Dorothy

Jesus heals the sick in Gennesaret. They crossed the lake and came to land at Gennesaret, where the people recognized Jesus. So they sent for the sick people in all the surrounding country and brought them to Jesus. They begged Him to let those who were ill at least touch the edge of His cloak; and all who touched it were made well. Matthew 14 v 34-36. Good News Bible. Gwyn

Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all undersatanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4 verses 5,6,7.

Young children. Then were there brought unto Him little children, that He should put His hands on them, and pray; and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not to come unto me for of such is the kingdom of heaven. And He laid His hands on them, and departed hence. Matthew 19 v 13-15. Dear friends let us love one another, because love comes from God. Whoever loves is a child of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love. And God showed His love for us by sending his only Son into the world, so that we might have life through Him. John 4 v 7-9 Good News Bible Gwyn

Our bodies have many parts, but the many parts make up only one body when they are all put together. If the foot says 'I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand,' that does not make it any less a part of the body. And what would you think if you heard the ear say ' I am not part of the body because I am not an eye,' Suppose the whole body were an eye. Then how would you hear? But that isn't the way God has made us! The eye can never say to the hand 'I don't need you'. The head can't say to the feet ' I don't need you!' ........ all of you together are the one body of Christ and each one of you is a separate and necessary part. 1 Corinthians 12 v 12 - 27 exerpts. Modern Language. First post also updated :) Vonny
