But Simon's wife's mother lay sick with a fever, and they told Him about her at once. So He came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and immediately the fever left her. And she served them. Mark 1 verse 30 New King James Version.

First post updated for the new week. :) Last week's verses. The theme was Hand/s SUNDAY: Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy! Psalm 47 v 1 Good News Bible MONDAY: For the Lord is a great God and a great King above all gods. In His hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are His also. The sea is His, for he made it; for His hands formed the dry ground. Psalm 95 v 3 - 5 RSV TUESDAY:....... yet I will not forget you (says the Lord). Behold, I have indelibly imprinted (tattooed) a picture of you on the palm of each of my hands......... Isaiah 49 v 15 - 16 Amplified (portions) WEDNESDAY: And yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay and you are the Potter. We are all formed by your hand. Isaiah 64 v 8 RSV THURSDAY: A person's steps are confirmed by the Lord; He establishes him and delights in his way. When he falls he shall not be down and out; for the Lord upholds his hand. Psalm 27 v 23 -24 Modern Language FRIDAY: The desert will rejoice and flowers will bloom in the wilderness...........everyone will see the Lord's splendour, see his greatness and power. Give strength to hands that are tired and to knees that tremble with weakness. Tell everyone who is discouraged, 'be strong and don't be afraid!! God is coming to your rescue, coming to punish your enemies'. Isaiah 35 v 1 - 4 GNB SATURDAY: For the body does not consist of one member but of many. If the foot should say 'because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body', that would not make it any less part of the body..... So we, though many, are one body in Christ and individually members of one another...... although all the members do not have the same function. So, having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them for the good of all. 1 Corinthians 12 v 14, 15 and Romans 12 v 4, 5 RSV

1 Do not show yourself heated up because of the evil doers Do not be envious of those doing unrighteousness. 2 Because like grass they will speedily wither, And like green new grass, they will fade away. Now remember at what you were, my brothers, when God called you. From the human point of view, few of you were wise, all-powerful or of high social standing. God purposely chose what the world considers nonsense, in order to shame the wise, and he chose what the world considers weak in order to shame the powerful. He chose what the world looks down on and despises, and thinks is nothing, in order to destroy what the world thinks is important. This means that no one can boast in God's presence. 1 Corinthians 1 v 26 - 29 Good News Bible. Vonny

He (God) strengthens those who are weak and tired. Even those who are young grow weak; young men can fall exhasted. But those who trust in the Lord for help will find their strength renewed. They will rise on wings like eagles; they will run and not get weary; they will walk and not grow weak. Isaiah 40 v 29 - 31 GNB

Psalm 23 Because the Lord is my Shepherd, I have everything I need! He lets me rest in the meadow grass and leads me beside the quiet streams. He restores my failing health. He helps me do what honours him the most. Even when walking through the dark, valley of death I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me, guarding, guiding all away. You provide delicious food for me in the presence of my enemies. You have welcomed me as your guest; blessings overflow! Your goodness and unfailing kindness shall be with me all of my life, and afterwards I will live with you for ever in your home. Living Bible

............ But how shall they ask him (God) to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them unless someone sends them? That is what the scriptures are talking about when they say, 'how beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Gospel of peace with God and bring glad tidings of good things.'....................
