Theme from the last week: Word / words SUNDAY: Before the world was created, the Word already existed; he was with God and he was the same as God. From the very beginning the Word was with God. Through him God made all things; not one thing in all creation was made with out him. John 1 v 1 - 3 Good News Bible. MONDAY: (Jesus speaking) You can be sure that on Judgement Day everyone will have to give account of every useless word they have ever spoken. Your (own) words will be used to judge you - to declare you either innocent or guilty. Matthew 12 v 36 - 37 TUESDAY: The opening up of Thy words give light. It gives understanding to the simple. Psalm 119 v 130 Modern Language WEDNESDAY: Be not hasty with your mouth; and your heart - do not allow it to be hasty to utter a word before God. For God is in heaven and you are on the earth, therefore let your words be few. Ecclesiastes 5 v 2 THURSDAY: If anyone hears my message and does not obey it, I will not judge him. I came, not to judge the world, but to save it. Whoever rejects me and does not accept my message has one who will judge him; the words I have spoken will be his judge on the last day. John 12 v 47, 48 Good News Bible. FRIDAY: There will be a shout of command, the archangel's voice, the sound of God's trumpet and the Lord himself will come down from heaven. Those who have died believing in Christ will rise to life first; then we who are living at that time will be gathered up along with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. So then, encourage one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4 v 16 - 18

Faith in Prayer. When you pray and ask for something, believe that you have received it,and you will be given whatever you ask for. And when you stand and pray, forgive anything you may have against anyone,so that your Father in heaven will forgive the wrongs you have done. Mark 11 v 24-25 Good News Bible Gwyn

Theme from last week: Hear / heard SUNDAY: Understand this my beloved brethern. Let every man be quick to hear (a ready listener), slow to speak, slow to take offence and to get angry. James 1 v 19 Amplified MONDAY: He -Jesus - replied, 'Yes, but even more blessed are all who hear the Word of God and put it into practice.' Luke 11 v 28 Living Bible TUESDAY: Hear my prayer, O Lord; let my cry come to thee! Do not hide thy face from me in the day of my distress! Incline thy ear to me; answer me speedily in the day when I call. Psalm 102 v 1 - 2 RSV WEDNESDAY: For I cried to him and he answered me! He freed me from all my fears. Others too were radiant at what he did for them. Theirs was no downcast look of rejection. This poor man cried to the Lord - and the Lord heard him and saved him out of his troubles. Psalm 34 v 4 Living Bible THURSDAY: Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary, his understanding is unsearchable. Isaiah 40 v 28 RSV FRIDAY: ......that no mere man has ever seen, heard or even imagined what wonderful things God has ready for those who love the Lord. 1 Corinthians 2 v 9 Living Bible SATURDAY: Then I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, 'Now God's salvation has come! He who comes from Heaven. He who comes from above is greater than all.He who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks about earthly matters, but he who comes from heaven is above all. He tells what he has seen and heard, yet no one accepts his message But whoever accepts his message, confirms by this that God is truthful. The one whom God has sent speaks God`s word, because God gives him the fullness of his Spirit. The Father loves His Son and has put everything in His power. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever disobeys the Son will not have life, but will remain under God`s punishment. John3 v 31 - 36 Good News Bible. Gwyn

Young Children. I love these verses, using my grandfathers bible this morning,I see he has marked them out as well and put in the margine the date 14/3/1948.I wonder why he dated it? Then were there brought unto Him,little children, that He should put His hands on them, and pray:and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said,Suffer little children, and forbid them not,to come unto me,for of such is the kingdom or heaven. And He laid His hands on them, and departed hence. Matthew19 v 13-15 King James Bible. Gwyn.

Verses for the week begining 19 Nov. Because my computer crashed, I was unable to finish the week so have continued with the same theme this week :) SUNDAY: Give to others, and God will give to you. Indeed, you will receive a full measure, a generous helping, poured into your hands - all that you can hold. The measure you use for others is the one that God will use for you. Luke 6 v 38 GNB MONDAY: How good it is to give thanks to you, O Lord, to sing in your honour, O most high God, to proclaim your constant love every morning and your faithfulness every night. Psalm 92 v 1 - 2 TUESDAY: For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government will be upon his shoulder, and his name will be called 'Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.' Isaiah 9 v 6 RSV WEDNESDAY: Remember that the person who sows few seeds will have a small crop; the one who sows many seeds will have a large crop. Each one should give then, as he has decided; not with regret or out of a sense of duty; for God loves the one who gives gladly. 2 Corinthians 9 v 6 - 7 GNB THURSDAY: Seek your happiness in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Give yourself to the Lord. Trust in him and he will help you. Psalm 37 v 4 - 5

Come to Me and Rest. Come to me ,all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke and put it on you,and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest. For the yoke I will give you is easy, and the load I will put on you is light.
