Does anyone know anything about Letitia Queenie Gore, born 1909. She married aged 48 in 1958 to William Brain in Gloucester Rural. She raised a boy called John Derek Gore but weeks and weeks of searching has not found his birth certificate.

Given her age at marriage, is it possible that she adopted him?

That would mean she was only 11 when she had him

The only death I can find for Letitia/Queenie Brain is this one in 1966

Which means she had died before John was born.

Perhaps the John Derrick Gore born 1968 is the wrong one!

Sorry for leading people astray when I said that Ronald L. Gore was her son. I did something that I should know better not to do, I quoted a family tree on Ancestry. It said that he was her son but as you say she would have been 11 when she gave birth. I'm slapping my wrist.

The John Derek Gore I am looking for was born in 1932 and was raised by a Queenie Gore in Gloucester Rural. There are only 2 born in 1932 one to a Daley and the other is Hartshorne.

No children showing to the marriage England/Wales unless the wife had been previously married.

Kevin, you might try to contact someone called Ann-Marie who had a very long thread on here several years ago which ended up closely connected to this family.

I think she had other family members who may also have info which may be of help to you?
