June
Sorry I could not find a birth for Annie Callaghan in Middlesborough.
Sadly this could indicate that her mother was not married.

Hi Joan
Sorry I cannot locate Alexander Wood on the Ancestry version of 1851 Scotland census.
You should try Scotlandspeople site, much better than Ancestry for all things North of the Border.

Hi sheila
Almost an impossible ask without full names of the Hindmarsh folks.
I looked on 1891 census for Andrew Hogg with Hindmarsh family and was not able to find one. Also for 1901.
There are also many Hindmarsh folks in Durham/N'land.
Looked for a Hogg/Hindmarsh marriage, but have not been able to trace one.
Who did Andrew Hogg marry, perhaps the Hindmarshes attended the wedding and perhaps were witnesses???

Thanks Mary,

Unfortunately this is not my Mary Waites as she was definitely born in Colchester. Will do a bit more searching and get back to you, if that is ok.

Many thanks for your help
