oh god mary its drivin me insane. what were they up to . the certs i have from scotlands.gov have been certified correct by the lady there and she said that its deffinatly likely that frank took on marys two children. but where were his at this time? and where were hers before they came to uk.mmmm makes you wonder eh.
i did put a message on the board for nickydownsouth to help me to copy them to theseboards i onlyknow how to send them as an atachment thru email.

Hi, I'm looking for more details on the Fowler family - James Henry Fowler (b 9/8/1861) and Alice Fowler (b est. 1866) and their children James Charles (b 3/10/86) in Essex with sisters Alice (b1889), Jessie (b1891), Lily (b1894) and George (b1898). George was killed in Flanders in 1918.

Hi Mary... is it possible to find this Alfred Abbott in 1891 and 1901 censuses please?

Alfred William Abbott... born c1869 in Nottingham. He was with his parents in Nottingham in 1881, (his father was a chemist) but he's not with them in 1891 and 1901.

James Gibson 1792 London married Hannah ? 1800 London they had James Gibson 28/9/1823 Middlesex- Hannah Gibson 8/12/1824 St Lukes Middlesex -Martha Gibson 24/2/1828 Middlesex - Joseph Gibson 23/4/1832 dont know if there were any other siblings. Thanks for the offer.

It's a bit of a long shot but I'm trying to find my Great-Grandfather Thomas Jones on the 1861/71 census. His age on his marriage certificate puts his birth year at c.1856 and his father as Benjamin Jones, oil refiner.

Are you able to search on a Thomas living with a Benjamin with that occupation please? Thomas married in Kensington 1885 and his children were born in West Ham but he isn't with them on the 1891 census. He was a ship's fireman.

As you say it is a longshot,without birthplace for Thomas it is virtually impossible.
I cannot find on 1861 or 1871 a thomas Jones with father Benjamin at all.
Who did Thomas marry and do you have him on 1901??
What was his address on his marriage cert???

Hi Mary... Thanks for looking for Alfred Abbott! I'm sure I have what is his marriage in 1904 to an Esther Bird in Nottingham, I will send for the cert to see if it is him.
If not I suppose he must have emigrated or perhaps working in the services.

1841 census shows 3 possibles,all living away from home as Female servants,so not able to be be sure which uis correct .
BUT the IGI shows Ann Morris christened 13/April 1828 at Mottiston,parents John and Charlotte.
