Hi Sally,

We won’t discuss individual cases with third parties, however, I can assure you that in this case, the appropriate action has been taken.

Thank you Natasha.

Would love to know what appropriate action was taken. Did that member receive a warning or a ban ?

Hi Sally, as I mentioned above, I can’t disclose any information on this other than to assure you that action has been taken.

Hi Glitter Baby, we are sorry that some people experienced problems with the site last night, our technical team are looking into it now.

Kay???? Report 20 Aug 2013 11:57

Could the team take it upon themselves to re-instate Rambling Roses account, please, as I feel sure the action done in haste and frustration will be regretted in the coming days.

Its an action a great many members will be happy about from GR.

Thank You.

Hi Kay,

If Rambling Rose would like to be reinstated we would be more than happy to do so, she just needs to send us an email.

Great news,,,,,,,many thanks,,,,

-Rambling Rose--------has not had a ban or been suspended just to clear the matter up...

GlitterBaby Report 21 Aug 2013 11:27

ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL

Still no one from the GR Team has seen fit to put an announcement on the boards about the problems that members are having with this site.

Okay so Natasha did post on a thread on General Chat saying that the Team are looking into it but that will not be seen by all the members that use this site.

:-P

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 21 Aug 2013 11:43

Once the current problem with the Servers has been confidently resolved, could GR consider extending the subscription of members by one or possibly two days?

In addition, would they give those who use credits to view records etc extra credits to replace those used when they unsuccessfully connected to the site?

jax

jax Report 21 Aug 2013 12:05

Even paying the full standard sub of £19.95 a year, two days extra is not going to make much difference approx. 12p...I would just rather have a site that worked and didn't make me want to pick the laptop up and chuck it

InspectorGreenPen

InspectorGreenPen Report 22 Aug 2013 11:25

The current problem with the Servers timing out is unlikely to confidently resolved on anything but a temporary basis.

Rollo has eluded to the technical reasons why on several occasions, but in laymans terms it boils down to the operating platform on which the site relies upon running out of steam when the volume of data being processed is large.

The techies can and will no doubt make further tweaks to reduce the problem for those of us with large data volumes who are worst affected, but the long term answer is likely to involve some serious upgrades and associated expenditure.

Members who only have a small amount of data linked to their account, i.e small trees, few postings on the community boards or only a handful of personal messages, are largely unaffected. In fact, the majority of members will fit this profile, which presumably makes it difficult to justify any sort of major upgrade.

Hi everyone,

We would like to apologise again for the current site performance. We know that it is running slowly for some of our members. The problem occurred since we released improvements to the site on Monday. Since then our development team have been working tirelessly to fix the issue, but today we have taken to decision to roll back the changes we made one by one so that we can identify what exactly is causing the site to be slow. We are really sorry for any inconvenience caused and will keep you updated with our progress.

26th September 2013 – A round-up of the latest suggestions from the Suggestions Board:

It has been a quiet month for suggestions. I'm hoping to update you all soon with which suggestions have so far been implemented.

Can you please confirm that you have actually listed every single suggestion made on the Suggestions Board and have given fed back on them all ?

Hi Glitter Baby,

I started rounding up the latest suggestions on the suggestions board from May. Since then I have made a comment against all suggestions. If you have any further suggestions that haven’t been addressed then please feel free to suggest them on the suggestions board and I will get back to you on next month’s roundup.

This site is a joke. Good luck to those who stay...

Obviously total breakdown in communication between users and 'management' which having monitored over the last few months I can't see improving.

I'm out of here

Would anyone from GR Team care to explain why a post on this board that was sent for review at the weekend has still not been sorted - either reinstated or deleted ?
