Don't worry about us Sylvia - we will sort ourselves out (it will not be up to your standards but we will cope) ;-)

You just have a lovely time with your family and rest assured that we will be extremely pleased when you are back with us to provide those lovely meals !!! :-) (ALSO, your lovely company, or course!) :-D :-D :-D

OOOh - It must be a 'no Sylvia' day :-(

Just a small selection today then but it will keep us going. ;-)

I have made some porridge and there are various fruits and things to go with it.

Also plenty of cereals, yoghurts, croissants and danish pastries.

Lots of bacon, scrambled eggs, grilled tomatoes and mushrooms in the warmers - also a couple of poached eggs for Ginns.

Eggy bread and plain toasts and spreads.

Tea, Coffee and juices over there>>>>>>>>>

Hope that will be enough,

See you later,

Just a quick heads up. Heir Hunters is currently being shown on BBC1 at 9:15am daily.

I think that is a new series as I cannot recall previously seeing the stories told during the past couple of days. Although a bit repetitive in its format the programme does often include snippets of information helpful to those looking into their family history. Yesterday for example a case involved the Court Funds Office of which I was unaware. Another case highlighted the fact that the descendants of people adopted into families before 1927 had no inheritance rights in regard to the estates of other members of the adoptive family. This applies even when the adoption, although informal, had been overseen by the courts or through a solicitor.

Another case showed how two brothers effectively lost their families accumulated wealth when their step mother who had raised them from a young age died. The step mother had inherited from their father but as she died intestate her estate was distributed to her birth family relatives rather than her step sons.

Making a will is important if you want your estate to be distributed in accordance with your wishes.

Thank you for the porridge Dea; I nipped in earlier when you weren't looking. I was in a rush cos I have been busy, busy, busy.

Jonesey, isn't it typical? A new series and I haven't been able to watch a whole episode yet.... :-(

The little snippets I caught this morning made me think of what I have said earlier - a lot of the cases are about reclusive people who had few friends etc. I remain convinced that a majority of them were on the undiagnosed autistic spectrum. Hopefully, as diagnosis and support increases, there will be more help for these lonely people.

Our will definitely needs updating :-0 When we looked at it the other day, we have made provision for my disabled mother.

She died 11 years ago....... :-S

Waiting for the neuro physio to visit this afternoon. Such a nice young woman she is.... :-D

Cynthia,

You can watch them all on the website later - that's what I did on the last series that you told me about.

I sat there one afternoon and got through tons of them one after the other.

And you can skip through the boring first bits.

Can't say I was overly impressed though but there were a few useful snippets.
