I don't half get 'em .....

we have a computer system now, province-wide, for downloading requistions and prescriptions by the DOCTORS.

Only medical professionals with "need-to-know" can access this system ........ eg, doctors, pharmacies, hospitals, and clinics doing tests.

Got to the clinic about 8:15 am to find 3 people waiting to check in.

The first in line was a Chinese couple, poor English

The technician was Filipino, poorish English

The Chinese woman had a requisition for a certain blood test that she had done in April ......... shouldn't have had that, the clinic should have kept it.

But she also an another form .......... no number, no doctor's signature, no test specified

and she wanted a test done, but she didn't know what test she'd had.

You know how people shout when someone doesn't understand ................

Eventually the technician got her to understand that she had to go back to the doctor to get the requisition filled in

But how did she get a blank form???????????

It took a good 15 minutes to sort her out, so I didn't go into the room for blood extraction until after 8:30 am.

OH had me home by just before 8:45 am ............. and I could eat :-D :-D :-D

Dea ..................

I do if I'm going to be making my own way back home

Or, I used to walk to my coffee shop/bookstore, which was less than 2 blocks away, and have a breakfast sandwich and coffee there

But OH was both taking me and bringing me home this morning ........... and it is less than 5 minutes away.

so not worth taking something with me

I couldn't have eaten it while waiting for that crazy woman to get sorted out!!!

Dea

Dea Report 7 Sep 2012 21:55

Wherever you go Sylvs - ALWAYS take an 'emergency sandwich' even if you have to 'bin it' when you get home !!!

it really wasn't a problem from the food aspect ......... I was just worried about OH, who had an appointment out at the university, and was getting edgy :-D

Actually ................. I do usually carry a small plastic bag with some baby carrots, and chompf down on those when necessary :-D :-D :-D

off to write the grocery shopping list

Have a lovely time Ginns!

I have been busy 'playing' on my grand-daughter's new digital keyboard !!!

It does absolulety everything except make toast !!!

It can play like any instrument or voice (choice of 497 !! - don't know what they all are :-S ) with 106 accompaniment styles :-S :-S, music databases, various harmony effects, sound effects, etc etc etc and it even has lessons in it to teach you how to play :-S :-S :-S, and it can record and connect up to the computer ....................

It's BRILLIANT !! - I am seriously thinking that I want one too :-0

Don't know when I am going to give it to her but I know she will be more than thrilled ;-)
