another 18 cm snow fell on the mountains on the other side of the harbour. That means the ski slopes got about 33 cm snow between Saturday and this morning


Lovely to LOOK AT ............. just hope it doesn't come down to sea level :-D

Got lost this morning. Wouldn't care, I've been to the venue before but there have been traffic alterations and roads blocked since then. I was going round and round the same estate for ages :-(

Once again thank you for your interest.

My daughter is still lying flat on her back in her hospital bed encased in neck and spinal brace. She has had x-rays and a CT scan which has confirmed a fracture in her cervical vertebrae C6. Tomorrow morning she is due to have an MRI scan which I understand provides more detailed information about the problem identified by x-ray and CT. Hopefully once all the information is in the hospital will know what remedial treatment is necessary and they can begin doing whatever they need to do.

Understandably she is already bored as there is not a lot she can do to occupy herself. Fortunately it is a modern hospital and each bed has its own television and telephone set up which of course you have to pay to use. That costs £10 per day or £20 per 3 days. Not perfect but better than having to count the ceiling tiles as your only form of entertainment.

My granddaughter and her father both have very sore necks but seem otherwise OK, both are due to have a further medical check-up on Thursday. It looks likely that their car is a right off but the good news is that the other driver had valid insurance so any claim for damage and injuries will hopefully be met.

I will keep you posted.

Sylvia Ssh dont mention that word. My 2nd grandchild is due in 3 weeks. When our GD was born it was the year of the blizzard and was a total whiteout. My son couldnt get into his car and had to crawl in through the boot then come to ours so we could free him!

Dont want to do that again :-)
