Good morning all..........

Sylvs.....this is a picture of me in my sou'wester :-D

Glad you're okay - you were missed and, thank you for breakfast. Gins sounds as though she could do with some good eggy bread down her!

Dea, really pleased you got your Blue Badge - the world of car parks is your oyster :-)

OH is off to see HIS health trainer today. We will both now be wearing pedometers - could be interesting!

Still thinking of our Jonesey......... <3

Me too Cynths..................... <3 <3 <3 Jonesey !

It's not so much the car parks Cynthia it is the ability to park near to a shop I want to visit, on the double yellow lines without having to drag myself all the way from the car park and back, which is pretty much a waste of effort anyway as if I buy anything, I can't carry it . :-)

Jonesey Report 24 Oct 2012 12:36

Just a quick update.

My daughter had an MRI scan yesterday which revealed a fracture in her cervical vertebrae C5 as well as the fracture in vertebrae C6 which was already known about. Apparently copies of the MRI scan have now been sent to neurosurgeons at the nearest University hospital and it will be for them to decide on the most appropriate form of treatment. She hopes to hear something from them today.

On a more positive note she has now been fitted with a more comfortable neck brace and has been allowed to have her bed raised a few degrees from the horizontal which makes eating/drinking a little easier for her. Understandably she is getting frustrated and a bit depressed by her inability to do much and the delay in starting whatever treatment is going to be necessary to return her to health.

Thanks for letting us know dear Jonesey.

To be honest, I would think she is more than a bit depressed - more like - very depressed. It must be awful just lying there and waiting to hear what the treatment is going to be and when it will begin :-(

Is she able to use an ipod to help take her mind off things a bit?

When something like this happens, the whole family is affected and everyone will be suffering in some way or other and the waiting for news is just dire - I've paced a few hospital waiting rooms myself :-)

Hopefully, the treatment will begin soon and she can start her journey to recovery :-D

OH saw his Health Trainer this morning. His meds hadn't quite kicked in so he was a bit 'slow' to begin with but came round during our time there. He has declined the use of a pedometer - obviously he couldn't stand the competition from myself....... :-D

All in all, he found it useful and informative - so that was worthwhile :-D :-D

Thanks for the update Jonesey <3

At least she is getting closer to some sort of decision on her treatment ! - It must be really terrible for you all having to wait so long. Especially for her as she is unable to move around or do anything !

We are all wishing her well and look forward to some better news from you soon.

Dea Xxx

P.S. to Cynthia.....

Glad your OH found the meeting helpful this morning - you are right about the pedometer - he is just afraid of the competition ;-) :-) :-)

Aww bless, it must be awful for her Jonesey and I dare say you and the rest of the family

Hope she gets to have her treatment soon but on a good note, the hospital have taken all the right measures to ensure her condition isnt worsened

Love to her, and of course you and the family <3

Gee Report 24 Oct 2012 19:03

It's all working fine Sylvs.....even Ancestry!

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 24 Oct 2012 19:33

I can get to google only by searching for it on Bing ............ the search engine on IE6

Then I can only get into my sites, eg ancestry or GR by googling for them and signing in.

I cannot open Mozilla Firefox at all, without downloading it again.

I'm going to shut everything down, and try again in about an hour!!

Gee

Gee Report 24 Oct 2012 20:21

I had the 'Blue screen of Death' this morning, while on Ancestry....

Shut down...re booted and 'BINGO'

If that doesnt help, try a reboot in 'safe mode'
