That's great Linds........you will really treasure those pictures.

I've been in touch with some of my contacts on here re photographs of one particular branch of the family about whom I know little. One has promised to scan some and send them to me, so I'm really looking forward to that..

Anyway, Good morning all. :-D

Putting kettle on and plugging in the toaster.....

Checking fridge contents for bacon etc.,

Opening cupboards to get the cereals out

Pouring milk into jugs

Spooning coffee into pots

Slicing bread for toast

Cracking eggs for frying

Warming croissants

Stirring porridge

Okay? let's begin cooking............................ :-D

Good morning all :-)

Just a nice big bacon buttie for me Cynths - thank you <3 <3 <3

It sounds like an awful lot of effort to get you both to that 10am service on Christmas day Cynthia but I know it is worth it to you :-)

Not long to go now - I wrapped LOTS of prezzies over the wekend but they are all in the front bedroom and grandson will be here this afternoon so I have to find somewhere to hide them all before then or he will be ripping all the paper off :-D :-D

See you all later,

I am a genius :-D :-D :-D :-D

Been wondering for weeks what to buy JB for Christmas and I had a moment of pure genius, this morning

As you know he lost his wedding ring a few weeks ago.....so, this morning, I hunted out two old rings, one mine and the other his.

Went accross the city to jeweller where we bought our wedding rings. I Had a long chat and the outcome...

..............he is going to melt the rings together and make a wedding for JB! I have told him how I want it, so it will be unique. Would have been cheaper to buy one off the shelf, but I wanted it to be special

Im sat here, like a cheshire cat!

Oooh..now I am going out (after me cuppa) to buy some cards!

Gee

Gee Report 17 Dec 2012 17:45

Well...I thought it was a brilliant idea :-( :-D

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 17 Dec 2012 18:20

I agree Gins. A very good idea indeed and very romantic. I'm sure JB will be thrilled with it. :-D

In town this morning and tackled a pile of ironing this afternoon. Then we put the tree and a few decorations up.

The photos came okay and it's really good to see a picture of my great grandfather. I've only had a quick look so need to settle down and see if there are any resemblances to my dad.

I've a busy day tomorrow........grandchildren and then I'm hoping to take my friend out for an evening Christmas meal.......so that should be good.

Going for a browse around and about.....

That hiccups is catching!

I'm not that keen on sport but daughter was watching the Sports Personality wotsit last night and posting things now and then on the other side. I was surprised that it went to Bradley Wiggins cos a cyclist won it last year too :-S

He lives not far from here and his local is one of our favourite eating places - or it was when OH would go out for a meal. :-(

I remember taking some visitors from Canada to a meal there many moons ago and they were amazed at the gargantuan size of the meals. They even took photos of their plates to take back home with them as a reminder! :-D

Gee

Gee Report 17 Dec 2012 22:43

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 17 Dec 2012 22:56

No......course you didn't!

It's ME that's seeing double. :-P

When did Sylvs say she would be getting to wherever it is she's gone? Hope her train ride has been smooth............

Haven't got the grandchildren tomorrow - they're poorly with coughs and colds. :-( - better than them being poorly next week I suppose.

Going soon.......OH is watching a film so don't want to get up and spoil his enjoyment.....night all....~~~~~

Good morning all :-)

I have set out all the usual cereals, fresh fruits and yoghurts.

Toast is done - various sweet and savoury spreads available.

Croissants and danish pastries.

Porridge is bubbling and sausages, bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes are all cooking away.

Eggs will be cooked to order - any way you might like them.

Fresh warm rolls, crackers and platters of various hams and cheeses.

Enjoy......................... <3

Thank you Dea - that was a lovely breakfast. <3

Er.....when you say 'portion' of crisps, are you saying that you have made a bag of crisps last for 5 days ? :-S :-S

I try not to eat crisps too often these days but, when I do, it takes me all of 5 mins to empty the bag. :-D

We've had an M &S gift voucher as a prezzie so we're going up there later to look at some 'special's' in the food section. :-D
