So you think that you had a bad day!!

My number 2 son has just started taking driving lessons. During his first lesson last week his instructor told him that 2 of his other pupils were due to take their driving tests at the beginning of this week. Whilst he was having his second lesson yesterday my son enquired how they had got on.

The instructor replied saying "Not very well, they both failed." He went on to say that one, a young man, had made a major error during the test and realising his mistake went completely to pieces. That resulted in the examiner having to take over and drive the car back to the test centre.

If that wasn't bad enough, the other, a young lady, failed her test without even leaving the test centre. Having completed the preliminaries apparently she pulled off but as she did so failed to notice a woman who had just stepped off the pavement in front of the vehicle. The car struck the unfortunate lady and knocked her over. End of test.

Take care out there.

OOOpps Jonesey - Do you think that your son should change his Driving Instructor, he doesn't inspire much confidence does he ???

Good morning all :-)

I have set out cereals, fruits, yoghurts, hams, cheeses, crackers and hot rolls, toast and spreads, croissants and danish pastries.

Porridge is done and all the hot 'stuff' is cooking away nicely.

Help yourselves..................

P.S. - Cynthia, I went and had another look 'over there' - couldn't find a red 'thingy' but I did manage to find the message.

What an awful thing to happen! - Could have been worse, I suppose but there is certainly more than a fair share of bad luck going in that direction !!! :-( :-(

Thank you for letting me know.

Good morning.......thank you for breakfast Dea.......I was ready for that porridge as I have been doing housework since 7.15...... <3

Oh Jonesey..........you can hardly believe it can you? Dear oh dear. Mind you, if those youngsters are making such major mistakes, it does show that they are not ready to face the big wide world of motoring yet. :-(

On the news this morning, there was something about a gadget you can buy which monitors your driving skills and, you can get lower insurance if your driving is excellent. Wasn't really listening that hard but it was that sort of idea.

Better go and get myself tided up - am having lunch with a friend, and am looking forward to it. ~~~~

Mornin~~~~~~

Thank you for breakfast

As the end of the worl approaches, I had smile at how some countries are readying themselves.

Heres Britain’s approach

In Britain, of course, most people have kept calm - with the AA advising motorists to allow extra time for their journeys as the end of the world approaches.

Cynthia Report 20 Dec 2012 22:06

What did you expect Royal Mail to deliver then Gins.............sponge and custard?? :-P

Was having a lovely lunch with my friend when a group of young, well dressed people came in. It's only a small place so two tables were put together for them. I think it was someone's birthday. Anyway, after a while, I said to my friend, "why do I seem to know the bloke with the curly hair?" She replied that she too recognised him but didn't know where from. Certainly not a local - I'm pretty sure on that. We began to wonder if he was on the TV....but ...???? He had similar features to Gene Wilder but with dark curly hair .

Ah well.....bed time again........no sooner do we open the bedroom curtains than it's time to close them again..... :-S

Hoping to go to Tesco's earlyish so may not be around till later. Well, that's the plan anyway........night all. ~~~~
