Gins

you mean here in Vancouver??

not that much

There was quite a dump (ca 10 cm) around Dec 19, while we were away, and snow showers on one day in January.

Most of the rest of Canada has had record or close to record snow falls.

The mountains across the harbour have also had near record falls on the ski areas ............ one of them still has close to 500 cm on the slopes, the other 2 have over 400 cm.

It was a shade too warm down here at sea level ....................... we got a lot of rain!

Gee Report 31 Mar 2013 18:37

I think we have had more snow than Canada in the last few weeks!

I bet Cyns has been busy today, she should be back here any time.........

And where is our Dea?

Jonesey, or anyone else please!!!

I have a problem with firefox which I can't find an answer for.

I used to close it down and then when I opened it up it opened up all the tabs which I had when I closed - Now it opens on AVG search page with no tabs opened !!

I have checked the settings and it is set up correctly

Dea Xxx

Ahhh - perhaps I might neeed to check AVG settings ??

I will try that.

In the meantime - any ideas welcomed.

Dea

Try a 'system restore'

Jonesey

Jonesey Report 31 Mar 2013 21:59

Dea,

Have you recently updated your AVG? I know that they have recently released their "Summer 2013" version and offered the option to AVG users to update. If that is the situation it is probable that you have unwittingly now allowed AVG to perform several functions that you may not have intended their software to do. To avoid this happening you have to "Uncheck" certain boxes whilst updating.

The situation should be relatively easy to correct either as Gin has suggested performng a Windows System Restore to a date prior to when you updated your AVG or removing AVG from your computer and then reinstalling it making sure that you "Uncheck" the boxes needed to avoid having the program do things that you do not want it to do.

Night Cyn......sleep tight.
Thank you Wall.

Good morning Cyn.
Morning Wall.

Did you sleep well?
Yes thank you Wall.

What about some breakfast then?
Good idea Wall. What shall we have?

How about a nice big fry-up?
That's a great idea Wall, would you like to join me?

Can I hear the kettle boiling?
You can Wall. Coffee is a MUST at this time of the morning.

Maybe, if I loosen one of my bricks, the smell of bacon will waft through and wake the others up.
It's bound to Wall.

I suppose I could loosen one of the slates on the roof?
You'd better not Wall, this lot already think I have a slate loose.

Breakfast will be ready soon.....
I'll go for a browse whilst I'm waiting Wall.

Linds, mom (MiL) is doing fine and she really enjoyed having her 'boy' stay the whole weekend

She has everything delivered or taken away, even when she is in the best of health.

A local shop brings her hot lunches and she has the washing & ironing 'sent out'. The cleaner comes three times a week, the papers delivered...... pretty wozza!

I am cream crackered as I havent slept very well over the weekend, I think I might tonight, now JB is back :-D

He brought me a present home from Wales............a croissant! The local shop make the best ones Ive ever tasted and we always go in the morning to get one, when in Wales of course
