another tip is

a small unlidded bowl of baking soda at the back of the fridge, or on the counter, shelf or window sill in the kitchen (actually, in any room) helps to keep smells down.

Good morning my friends and thank you for breakfast Sylvs.

Only just here because I took OH for a 'fasting' blood test. We need to get there early because of his meds etc.etc.

Thank you for all the tips re the kipper smells........including Sylvs THREE bowls of baking soda!! ;-)

I prefer the natural remedies as I am not very keen on 'fruity' smellies!!

Gins, I've heard that story about the match before. It was recommended by someone who used to travel a lot if I remember rightly.

Jonesey........nice one. ;-)

Going for a browse before resuming housework........ :-D

Hi Linda, Gin and everybody else,

To those who have kindly enquired about my daughter's health here is the current situation.

The fractures in her neck have now healed and she has full mobility but she does still have some issues. She still has quite a bit of pain together with some numbness in her fingers. Her doctors are attributing this to compression of her spinal chord caused almost certainly by the fact that the disc between her 5th and 6th vertebrae has been squeezed out of true alignment. She went to the neurosurgery department for some tests last week where needles were put into her arms and an electrical current passed through them. The results indicated that there is some nerve damage which is causing the numbness.

She now has to go for another MRI scan so that the doctors can determine whether it is likely that the misaligned disc will correct itself naturally or whether the solution will be an operation to trim or realign the disc.

She isn't letting the uncertainty get her down.

I couldn't help noticing that Dea didn't appear for breakfast, lunch or tea.

The poor wee mite must be starving, I hope that she is OK.
