Cinnamon Apple pancakes followed by Cinnamon Apple waffle washed down by hot coffee for brekkie for me followed by Cinnamon Apple pancakes followed by Cinnamon Apple waffle washed down by hot coffee for brunch followed by Cinnamon Apple waffle followed by Cinnamon Apple pancakes washed down by hot coffee just for a change for my tea.

In case you hadn't spotted it, I just <3 Cinnamon.

You could try the cinnamon apple frenchtoast for a change sometime..

I am a cinnamon fan as well. I generally put it in apple charlotte, or apple crumble etc.

and my mother used to make a cinnamon sponge cake which I loved.. I have only made it once we had guests and instead of being two neat sponges with cream in the middle it had a definite slope to it .. in fact you could ski down it... but it still tasted great.

I know it's bad over there,too.

Just day after flipping day of 90-98 F.

It's supposed to let up today/tomorrow.

Oh well....there must be a bright side to this.

What a LOVELY surprise Persie .......... I don't know where to start on this delicious breakfast !!! <3 <3

I think I will start with all the 'extras', then work my way around the table - It looks like an 'all-day' job :-D :-D :-D

Hello All,

I is here again feeling better than I have for the past 10 days :-D

I have caught up - I think- with everyone's news.

I have been going to bed with a hot water bottle and an electric fan talk about hot and cold ;-)

Am now trying to catch up with housework as OH wants to do a BBQ tomorrow!

Hope everyone is ok and nobody has melted ;-)

Glad you are starting to feel a little better but don't overdo it ! ;-)

It is only 21 degrees here today which is about 10 degrees lower than it has been every day for more than the past 2 weeks !! - I had to put a cardie on !!! :-D

Might have a BBQ as well tomorrow if it is not too hot ! :-D

Glad you're feeling a bit better Linds..............guess what I nearly did this morning

I went to book a break for me and JB - Brussels. Just about to the book the flights before going on to do the same with the hotel and little bell rang in my ickle ed

..................OH NOOOOO.........IM IN LIVERPOOL THAT WEEKEND :-0

Went to look for later dates........been a bit naughty and booked a better hotel, well, I was in shock with the near double booking ;-)

We are booked in here for a few nights, in a very posh room

It's been a bit cooler today thank goodness........more washing done, including my electric blanket which I have only just taken off the bed....... :-D

Have stayed there in the past and I can vouch for the 'lumpy' bed !!! - MANY years ago though !!!

Gins.....we are in 2013.......do catch up dearie. Of course you can wash a modern electric blanket. Especially when it says......'washable'. Mine has been washed several times. sheeeeesh.


Dea....I hope they've bought new mattresses since you were last there. If they were lumpy then, they would be unbearable by now....

We don't have leccy blankets. Used to but gave up on them year ago. Everyone has thick downey duvets for winter.

I thought Dizzi was on here but it was just Dea being dizzy...

My great grandfather hails from Glasgow so thought I would venture around the town to see what I could come up with for the gannets to eat. I knew the Scots ate more curries than anywhere else but this little smidgeon of dining surprised me... and once again I would like to thank the control c, control v (copy and paste) service that computerised services provide. ;-) This lot covers all day grazing...

Feel good about yourself cereal – toasted honey & nut granola, fruit salad, pomegranate yoghurt.

Haggis, mashed neeps and champit tatties.

Roast tomato, shallot and aubergine ‘Imam Bayildi’, salsa verde, ricotta cream.

French toast, char-grilled Ramsay’s of Carluke bacon & lashings of maple syrup.

Full vegetarian breakfast- Fried eggs, beans, fried mushrooms, grilled tomato, tattie scone & our own Glamorgan Sausage.

Full Scots breakfast-Link & lorne, beans, fried egg, mushrooms, tattie scone, grilled tomato, Ramsay’s of Carluke black pudding & bacon.

Haloumi skewers, red lentil dahl, coconut and carrot salad, mint yoghurt.

Moroccan roast baby aubergines, chickpea polenta, fennel and orange quinoa, mashed aubergine and tomato salad.

Bulgar wheat, labneh and char-grilled pepper cakes, baby gem and wild rice fattoush, harissa.

Pan seared sea bream, curried cauliflower risotto, cauliflower purée, spiced hazelnuts

Adobo braised Ramsay’s pork belly, candied sweet potatoes and pecans, dirty coleslaw.

Kick Ass Eggs Benedict – Poached eggs, spinach, Ramsay’s bacon & chilli hollandaise on toasted muffin.

Eggs Royale – poached eggs, smoked salmon, rocket & black pepper hollandaise on toasted muffin.

Nasi Goreng- Indonesian fried rice, Ramsay’s of Carluke bacon, king prawns & poached free range eggs.

Steak breakfast- Char grilled black-gold beef rump steak, poached egg, mushrooms, tomato & chunky chips.

Mushroom, grilled pepper & parmesan quiche with organic herby salad.

Roast vegetable & preserved lemon cous cous, cucumber yoghurt.

Slow cooked pork belly, black pudding mash, roasted roots and pickled red cabbage.

Mull cheddar fritters, dressed leaves and chive aioli.

Soused fresh water herring,spiced new potato & crème fraiche salad, pickled red onion

Puddin's

Pudds...
Belgian chocolate and walnut brownie, butterscotch sauce, vanilla cream.

Plum crumble with vanilla ice cream

Hazelnut praline parfait, Scottish berry compote

Set vanilla custard, poached rhubarb, mini orange meringues, frozen lemon yoghurt

Lemon baked cream, mascarpone ice cream, passion fruit strip, kataifi bundles, tangerine sugar

Hibiscus soup, white peach sorbet, white chocolate mousse

Alhambra sponge, dark chocolate mousse, tonka bean ice cream, chocolate and orange ganache

Stravaigin churned sorbet trio, vanilla tuille

Churned ice cream of the day, ANZAC cookie ( I especially liked the fact that NZ got a mention on the menu)

Cheeses:

Cheddar: Ayrshire Dunlop cheddar, bannocks, chutney and grapes

Cheese Platter served with oatcakes, khara biscuits, spiced raisin and onion chutney –and a glass of Tawny Port or a Brandy.

Ayrshire Dunlop Cheddar:This cheddar is sweet, buttery and fragrant with a light, elegant and charming flavour. Pasteurised cow’s milk, vegetable rennet.

Stilton Colston Basset:This Stilton is rich, strong, tangy and spicy and has hints of cocoa on the finish. Pasteurised cow’s milk, traditional rennet.

Coulommiers: Similar in style to Brie de meaux, it has a pronounced tang with mushroom flavours and hints of almonds. Unpasteurised cow’s milk, traditional rennet.

Tomme Crayeuse:From Savoie along the Swiss-Italian Alps in France. This is a buttery and creamy cheese with citrus notes and mushroomy, earthy flavours. Unpasteurised cow’s milk, traditional rennet.


get your own juice from fridge or make coffee etc..

and this is what they said on the menu:

"Put hairs on your chest with a first-class Sunday brunch washed down with a Bloody Mary"
