Descendants of John Cadd


A : John Cadd, died in Hillesden, Bucks the 22 February 1800, married Katharine Mason, the 17 December 1741 in Edgcott, Bucks (daughter of William Mason and Frances ).
He had 8 children :

B.1 : John Cadd, was christened in Hillesden, Bucks the 3 July 1743, died the 9 March 1766.

B.2 : Elizabeth Cadd, was christened the 18 August 1745.

B.3 : William Cadd, was christened the 27 March 1748.

BUT I have heard of Adrian Hall ........... he contacted me some years ago, wanted to get al the information I had so he could put all the Cadd info together. Without doing any work himself!

If that is as far back as he's got, then it is what we all have.

Katharine Mason's famiy has been taken back to 1540 ............. but John just appears on his wedding day!

People have searched the parish registers and Somerset House etc etc since at least the early 1980s.

I think you really wanted to tell us you are here.
Click on home first. Then you can write public postings to your friends.
At the bottom right hand corner it says chat. Click on that and it will tell you which of your friends are online. You can then have a private conversation. some of us do that when there is a a problem on here such as asking about connection problems.
At the op right of the page by the word facebook there are 3 symbols
one is for friend requests that you can accept or reject.
one is for private messages and the other is notifications.
That will tell you if some has reponded to a comment you make.



I went to Home.
I now have friends


Then I couldn't find how to get from Home to the GR wall with either Back button or leaving and re-entering

Still not sure whether my postings on the GR wall are visible, or if only the comments are visible

This will highly amuse Janey, as Vancouverites are a joke across Canada about snow



it's snowing!

It apparently started about 3 am or so, is still snowing now at about 9:30 am, and is expected to continue snowing until late afternoon or early evening, with a total of about 10 cm

THEN it will start to rain!


We've all been warned not to go out unless we have to

The main roads are kept as clear as possible with sanding, ploughing and ordinary traffic, but sideroads are not ploughed or anyhting.


OH has had to go out to the uni though ............... it's Fall Graduation, 8 ceremonies over 3 days. Three of those ceremonies are today.



We will NOT be going to the reception for the Honorary Degree holders this evening!!

Or at least, I will not ......... OH just might be daft enough to go!!

Get the Halo Polish out Cyn...That one on Success is one of your lame ducks so use some yourself as well,then pass it on to Gins as she did all the ER lookups after I had got the people to search for.

We had a little snow some weeks ago now, none since. The vile freezing rain a couple of days ago, though.

Have I mentioned I have kittens? Sounds like a disease. In fact, when I was talking to my mum 10 days ago, and before signing off, I said Guess what I've got?? she said Um, is it a disease? No! It's a kitten! And now two.

The ferals. I found one squalling and hungry on the back porch under my office window on Friday 2 weeks ago. I think it's a child of Ava's daughter -- I think maybe left over when the cat lady from around the corner and down the street abducted two very young ones from my garage and took them home to hand-feed them. She wanted me to take one and do that. I don't have kitten-feeding time. So I said you do it, I'll pay for the formula, I'll take it when it's ready.

Well, I heard no more and I felt guilty. It was a tortie, and I wanted a tortie, but a kitten, the devil's work, them. So the day after rescuing this one, I went round, and her boyfriend who wanted no more cats had fallen for it hard, so they wanted to keep it, but they'd give it back if I insisted ... but that was fine, I now had furball.

So then she and I went to my nearer neighbour's house to look at Ava's kittens. Ava is one of Raul's daughters/grx3granddaughters/wives/daughters-in-law. My neighbour has a cattery on her small back deck for the ferals, complete with old kitchen cupboards for them to nest in.

So ... last weekend she caught me one of Ava's kids, a slightly older female (I'm sure, and I hope). The two are very long-haired, first one is pure grey (blue, in cat lingo), second is "dilute long-haired tortoiseshell (blue-cream)". They are the most gorgeous things, and no-name furball is my baby.

Unfortunately, no-name No.2 is hiding in various places in the house -- she was just that bit older that she didn't imprint on me like the first one did, and is still wild and scared. But the real No.1 saw her out playing with little furball the other day, so we're just playing wait and see.

Cats, just in time for winter!

Drove away from my friend's home in a daze with a heavy heart and a wet shoulder. We have shared so much over many years and I hate to see her like this.

I wish I could do more, but I am very aware of where to draw the line between concern and interference, so I am left in a sombre state.

Am dreading the arrival of the snow........noooooooo.

jax ... when my purse was stolen at the grocery store two years ago, the digital camera went with the $300 in it. Have never got another. And I have no clue about pictures, although No.1 could upload them and I could add them, if I had any, I guess.

The one on my FB profile is taken from the top of the giant ferris wheel at La Ronde in Montreal, from my long-ago ... two summers and a lifetime ago ... flight of fantasy with No.2 ...

I asked on the thread on tips -- are the people who can't C&P using IE?

I think that could be the problem -- IE tries to import formatting. This board doesn't allow for formatting.

For email addresses, just go back to the old way, S.
