You are going to be in trouble when Fanny finds out that you have pinched her "00"s

Maybe she wont mind as she is 'counting down' to her holiday.

Do I also mention that while 'all you lot' are freezing in your snow & rain, we are having nice warm sunny days down here in Oz.

Tassie is a beautiful place, but can be windy and wet depending on where you live.

Got to watch out for those people with 6 fingers or toes......" inbreeding" you know. (Aussie joke)

My lot left there about 1909, so we are safe.

jax Report 2 Dec 2010 04:09

You dont want too many of those Welsh Jones's though you could end up being related to Fans at this rate

Not sure I want a fox either

I'm sure I could find someone to give that £50 M&S voucher to!

we did use to have M&S here in Canada ...... in fact Canadians are responsible for M&S stores putting in fitting rooms 'cos they wouldn't buy clothes if they couldn't try them on

Just weren't on the mindset of buy clothes, take them home, try them on, take them back that M&S used to do.

But then they couldn't fit the market ........... the people with money were young, and M&S styles just didn't do it for them. So all M&S stores in Canada closed down at least 20 years ago.

I must admit I'd gradually moved away from buying clothes from them ...... their sweaters were still good, but I could actually buy at least the equivalent (if not better) from other stores for cheaper than M&S were charging.

If I had the voucher I would probably just use it to buy their food.

I used M & S 20 years ago when I was a bit bigger than I am now and I could buy a size 12 when really I was a 14 and their kids clothes were nice too. They did do nice Jumpers and it was always nice to recieve one for xmas and if you did'nt like it they would always give you the money back

There is one person with my surname that was transported back in 1809 Julie but not sure where he ended up, not sure if he was related at all but came from the same area, so somewhere along the line I am sure he may have been a cousin or brother of my 4th great grandfather. I may look into it one day

I always used to buy M&S underwear, and their sweaters ....... loved it when m-i-l would send daughter M&S clothing for daughter

but somehow in the 80s, they really lost it here, didn't keep up with the consumer

and by the time they had added the mark-up involved in directly changing UK price in £ to price in $, then they were no longer a really good deal.

and the food didn't really transfer over here .............. for most of the Brits who came over in the 60s and at least the early 70s, we weren't used to M&S food. If an M&S in Britain carried food in those days, it was very limited. But I honestly don't remember seeing food in Manchester or Liverpool M&S. So we weren't used to it, didn't run madly to the store to get it .................. and the non-Brits here don't take too well to canned Christmas pud, canned steak and kidney pud etc, which is what they were often carrying!

Good Morning or night depending on where you are in the world:-)

Sylvia

Are your setting set that you don't want to receive emails from GR in your account as that will explain why you are not receiving any.

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 2 Dec 2010 07:32

TootyFruity

no

I get emails from GR

although I haven't been able to reply to any emails from them, OR send a NEW email to them for several weeks ...... through most of the foofarooh last week for example.

I got the email from Estelle offering me the chance to be a volunteer, responded to that twice, with success

sunce then any email bounces back as undeliverable.

I am still receiving emails from GR ..................... Estelle has sent me emails a couple of times since, so has a Julie

it's just outgoing from me to them.

GR tells me it must be the fact that I use IE6 ........ or possibly my server misreading the support@ address!

I'm using safari. My emails get through but hardly ever get a response. They are being delivered as I get no mailer daemon.

And I was pleasant.

Like Renes I can't log on via my iPhone which I do quite often.

I hope they get it sorted soon for you :-)
