SPANISH EYES
Edward Lunnon died Reading 1875 aged 40 yrs perhaps he is your chap.
his wife Mary Ann Maynard is recorded on the 1871 census as born Swycombe Oxfordshire
There follows the baptisms of Mary Anns in Swyncombe around the probable time of her birth
3/9/1843 Mary Ann Brown dtr Wm and Emma of the parish of Ewelme
30/1/1842 Mary Ann Hopkins daughter of John and Louisa
11/7/1847 Mary Ann Astin dtr Charles and Elizabeth.
It was thought that Mary Ann married to Edward Lunnon may have been married previously so the name Maynard which appears on her children's birth certificates may have been from a previous marriage, not her birth surname.

Margaret

Margaret Report 12 Jan 2010 08:27

SPANISH EYES
None of the above Mary Anns baptised in Swycombe married Maynards so perhaps that is the end of them...
There is a baptism for a
Mary Maynard in Swyncombe 27/8/1848 daughter of John and Martha.
This is a little late, but perhaps possible. I cannot find the marriage of John and Martha Maynard, it did not take place in Swyncombe. Although there is a David Maynard marrying in Swyncombe in 1842, so they could well have come in from another parish as a family, and John married in the previous parish.

I have sent the information about the baptism to Reginald Lunnon, as a courtesy, and also to Jason Timms who has Mary Maynard on his tree.
I hope this information helps. Margaret.

STEPHEN
In Newnham there were no Harpers, so tried Nuneham Courteney
there were
1804 Maria
1807 Charlotte
1809 John all children of George and mary Harper
sorry no William, none of the above were buried in Nuneham Courteney, so they may have moved away, and your William was baptised elsewhere.
There is one other baptism which may come in useful later
29/9/1811 Mary Anne Eggleton
natural daughter of William Eggleton and Hannah Harper born 22/9/1811
Sorry not to be more help

HILARY
sorry too early for transcripts for Burford they start at 1612 but no children there for Humphrey and Alice
Humphrey buried 31/10/1624
Alice buried 9/8/1630 widow
a daughter of Humphrey buried 7/10/1624 Sara.
The Ashall transcripts don't start until 1667 so no luck for John 1611.
