Hi Laurie, This may sound like a wild request, but can you search all you census records for anything on the surname of WILLUMSEN. I believe they may have come to England between 1880 and 1890, from Denmark. I'm looking in particular for a Lars Peter Willumsen born c1845 in Aarhus, or Carl Christian Willumsen born c1883 also in Aarhus. But any references to any Willumsen family would be great. Cheers for now. John Willumsen

Hi Laurie. I'm afraid this might be a bit general but here's the story lol. I've managed to trace my family from Perthshire and back to Skye. It seems that the family originate with one man who moved to Skye from Sutherland and before that from Dumfries. When he left however, the rest of his family remained in Dumfries and its them I'm trying to find a trace of. That takes me back to about 1800. What I'm wondering is, whether you can find any Lockharts in the towns of Applegarth or Wamphrey in Dumfries-shire, Scotland through the 1800's. James Lockhart's siblings were William b. 1790... Jean b. 1797.... Creighton b. 1801... Helen b. 1800 and Simeon b. 1811 all in Wamphrey, Dumfries. I'm hoping some trace of them or their children will show up in the same area in some of the later census returns. I realise this is a long time span but if you could do a check for me for that name I'd really appreciate it. Thanks so much. Louise
