Gary had to go!
He was looking forward to a waltz, but can just imagine him counting steps lol sorry but I don't think the lad has any rhythm.....though I do like to see him cooking!
I love Austin, think he's got what it takes.

Well, there was some smashing dances tonight,

Cherie and James Rhumba was brilliant, It showed the whole emotion of the dance and not some of the eroticism that the professionals have tried to put in, in the past.

I thought Jodie and Brendan did a brilliant routine she looked gorgeous and he choreographed the dance exceptionally well to show off all her best bits.

Christine and Matthew were bubbly, light, energetic - just as it should have been. Beautifully choreographed to the music too.

Jodie and Ian, well I still see her as the gangly horse, but I liked the dance, I am not sure I agree with the comments, there seem to be a lack of love there.

Heather and Brian. Was ok. but not overly impressive.

Rachel and Vincent were very good, in step and enjoying the routine.

I feel sorry for Darren, Jessie is not the worse dancer that has been on Strictly, but she is so heavy footed that Darren has got to be careful what steps he puts in the routine.

The last three tomorrow will probably be, Jessie, Jodie and Heather, and unfortuneatley I think that the public will do enough to save Jessie, So there will be a travesty again this year.

Helen1959 Report 12 Oct 2008 21:07

ok then let's have your final 2 celebrity men and 2 celebrity women.

For the men I reckon it's going to be Austin and Tom.

For the women it's going to be alot harder, but I 'm going for Cherie and Rachel.

Thought I'd give it a nudge for the mid weekers, in case they didn't know about the thread. Mind you there doesn't seem to be many people interested in it.

I think for Cherie's age - 56 she is marvellous.

Enjoyed the show again tonight. Thought the judges comments to Rachel were a trifle hard but she still got a reasonable mark. Jodie was a pleasant surprise, definite improvement and American smooth suits her well, why in heavens name did they put mark in that top - I thought it looked awful on him - thought it was good but wasn't as impressed as the judges with Brendan and Lisa's dance, Austin and Tom were both good again I thought, John bless him, well I cringed, but would not be surprised if the public keep him in again as he takes all of it in such good spirit, Cherie continues to do well. If I had to hazard a guess as to the bottom two it would be between Mark, Don, Andrew, Heather and John, although as I said before the public may well come out in support of John. We'll have to wait and see.

Great disappointment.

I really thought Mark and Andrew should have been in the bottom two. And the judges made the wrong decision imho. Oh well, there you go.

Must admit I wasn't really expecting the person who went out last night to be 'sent home' but will make no further comment as I do not wish to spoil it for othersd who will watch the results show. Roll on next week - let's hope the show soon begins to regain some of its old sparkle as somehow this year it seems to be slightly lacking.

I am an avid watcher of this programme, and did abit myself when young. But, I think they have spoiled the format by having it on both Saturday and Sunday. It seems to have lost its slickness and sparkle, and seems very lacklustre.
I won't say who we want to win, but just look where I come from.

Sorry I wasn't around last night, we went out again. and I haven't had chance to see the highlights until tonight's show, so can't really give my true impression of the show. but have to admit i don't fancy Andrew's and Marks chances.
